Remember sat in a cafe watching a Citroen 2CV being torched accross the road from us, then the Paris fire brigade turned up and didn't have a clue what they were doing, all seemed a bit like a Keystone Cops film. Had one of the coach windows put through after the gig. Long trip but the band were brilliant as usual,

Awesome performance. The Stones played here too. Wonder if there is any footage of them or the rest of the festival. What a treasure that would be.

It should be impossible to see GOD but I can swear he was behind the drum kit that night... or perhaps that young english boy simply channeled the God of Chaos❤

I remember Paul Heaton played in Dublin on 4th June 2022 and it was the Queens Platinum Jubilee at the time, he said on stage: "I could have stayed at home and burned Union Jack's and get into fights with my neighbours but I'd rather be here with people who just don't give a shit about it. Good man Paul

The Who were a magical group. Saw them twice in 1974, second Charlton gig with S.A.H.B. Stood for 6 hours pinned to the crash barriers until they came on. It was pouring with rain, and when they ran on Townshend slipped and fell. Still he got up, pride slightly dented, and they blasted into 'Can't Explain' and 'Substitute'.SUPER LOUD. They were the sum of four parts, and though I loved watching Captain Riff, I couldn't take my eyes off the flailing octopus that was Keith Moon. Again at the Empire Pool, where they finished with 'See Me Feel Me'. Later at Brixton, with Kenny Jones-though that doesn't stick. Would love to have seen them at a club in the 60's but born too late. Still, they were one of a handful of greats.

Lindo demais Style Council, na minha humilde opinião o TSC foi um ato de extrema coragem do Weller e ele acertou em cheio trabalho genial.

You can almost hear Keith shout "fuck off!" amidst the noise when Daltrey messes with the drums.

At phoenix 94 I caught Steve White drumstick which I still have he'd signed it. I caught it after the concert 2 weeks before I'd seen weller at Glastonbury and a picture of me ended up on the front cover of the times. Great days!

Totally agree how some shit bands became huge in the states but others never made it. Big Country are another great live band that spring to mind and never made it in States.

I don't see Pete Townsend as a typical lead-guitarist. He plays like a rhythm-guitarist who oversteps his bounds, driving the music so hard, the other instruments have to haul ass just to keep up. The 1965 date, is that for real? Looks like the other bands had to haul ass too, just to keep up. No one else was playing like this then. Wow, what a performance!
