I had the exact problem , but after watching your video I noticed that after you replaced the resistor you said the wire harness just pushed up there with no clip. I grabbed mine and pushed up and it fixed the problem. Seems it just worked a little loose over time . Thanks a bunch !!

My wife and I are looking to invest in this type of side hustle in Colorado. Where did you find that trailer and the dumpsters? I tried searching but I keep finding dump trailers. I might get one of those but what you have is more what I am thinking. Thanks in advance I enjoyed the videos I have watched so far. I subscribed and I am looking forward to more videos. Thanks

@bubbadump82 ай бұрын
I haven’t advertised traditionally. I have a hardware store, so I set some dumpsters there when they are not in use. All of my bins have graphics on them, so they make great billboards. Besides that, I recommend having a Google my business profile. It’s free and easy to setup

What’s the average weekly gross with one of these? What are the expenses that you gotta watch out for? Any advice helps, thanks
@bubbadump82 ай бұрын
Truck maintenance: tires, brakes, fuel. Unexpected things. Trailer tires and brakes as well. My biggest expenses are landfill charges and fuel. These go up as business go up
@Txlandguy2 ай бұрын
Great content sir. Curious, how many dumpsters did you start out with? I’ve seen “packages” that come with one trailer and three bins.
@bubbadump82 ай бұрын
I actually only started with 1. A local dealer had a deal on the trailer with one dumpster and I had the funds to make it work. I’m currently up to 5. Those packages are nice, but make for a bigger startup cost, and potentially more debt.

You do this with class C license ?
@bubbadump83 ай бұрын
I have a CDL, but it is not required for my setup. In Indiana, a standard driver license is all that is needed if the combined GVWR of the truck and trailer is under 26,000 pounds.

Hi there, could you have parked the dumpster at the end of his deck where you could back it up with an inches and he could throw it all in from the side of the dumpster or did he not want it there? It definitely looked difficult to get it close where are you put it but I think you did a great job seeing how it would’ve taken forever to keep walking to the end of it to get it closer. Just wondering, if sideloading from the left side of the deck would have been an option?
@bubbadump84 ай бұрын
It may have been, but it was muddier over there and the whole thing is steeper than it appears on camera. Plus, the customer wanted it in front of the door.

I’ve been watching several of your videos and I have a question about your truck. It sounds like a gas truck and not a diesel. If so does would you prefer the diesel? Seems like a gas truck could get easily under powered towing a load of shingles for instance.

Easiest solution is simply open them and let the paint dry. Sometimes the cans are already empty.. It's impossible to see everything until it's dumped out.

For the hydraulic dump, I bought a KTI brand kit off ebay. It's plug and play, takes maybe 10-15 minutes to hookup. It was expensive, but the best money I've spent on this setup. Just make sure to get the kit that matches with model number on your pump.

When you pick it up full and go to dump the load, how does it act as a dump trailer?
@bubbadump811 ай бұрын
Basically, you're only using the hydraulic lift to tilt everything. The winch isn't used to dump the load, the dumpster stays latched to the trailer frame as it is lifted

I have a question for you, ive been following you for awhile love your videos, I have a gooseneck trailer and 3 dumpsters from horizon coming in soon, I also found your website and it looks great! My question is how do you control with the calendar on your website not to get double booked when a customer rents a dumpster?
@bubbadump8 Жыл бұрын
"Calendly" is who I use for bookings. It's a manual thing you have to do, but once you have all dumpsters booked for a certain time frame, you can block out the times you are unavailable to book from the app. It's very easy, but does require you to pay attention and stay on top of it. I've never had an issue so far with 4 dumpsters.

I have the same set up i like it. Some advice as i have been using them for about a year now when trying to get close like that put your truck in gear and stand next to it with the winch control and lower as the truck pulls forward slowly. The weight of the trailer and can will keep your truck from going anywhere until you release the winch. Helps me when they want it close and it's on grass and the wheels won't roll. Another way is stick 2x4 under the back wheels and slowly roll it up to the porch but you have to park a little bit away to account for the length of the can. Hope this helps
