Very great musician and bassist. These recent months i had been listening to that tune which reminds me of my youth early 70's. Of course that period was glorious. REST IN PEACE SIR.

RIP Phil. This tells me what the Dead might have been if they had a piano player like this from the start.

I've played mini a gig with a B 3 using the lower register for basslines.. if you adjust the upper register back a little bit you get all the bass you need.

I did Bears acid in 1971 at my first show when I asked him if I sit behind the amps and he let me. I got up to a spot that I could fit through and I find Bear dropping liquid acid onto the back of people’s hands and then they licked it off. I stuck my hand out and he put four big drops on the back of my hand and then I licked it off. it was extremely good. I smoked a joint with Jerry at the first set break I was checking out their equipment and Jerry came over and passed me a bit fat joint and we passed it back and forth till it was half the size when we started. People realize what we were doing and headed over. I thanked him and went back behind Pigpen and I was tripping my noodles at this point. I asked Bear if I could get some of it and he hooked me with his dealer who lived near the museum in the center city area. I worked with him till Bear got busted.By that point I had met a lot of people in the underground LSD movement. I did acid at every show I went to. Good night sisters and brothers sweet dreams of Phil’s playing, ❤️⚡️🎸⚡️
