Derek is most definitely the finest guitarist playing at this time.

There's a man who enjoys his work, and spreads the joy around. I learned a little bit more about his story and I am so heartened to find that he defeated his demons. This performance must have taken place after that recovery. It looks like he's all the way back in this one. I wouldn't have known he'd ever missed a step. "Ginseng Sullivan" is one of my favorite tunes of all time. Thank you, Josh, and thank you, Mr. Blake, as well.

Hands down my favorite jgb song. Perfect tempo, perfect mood, perfect key for Jerry to let loose. God, I miss those shows. What a performer!

There is no guitarist on the planet who does what Derek does. Plenty of gun guitarists out there, but what Derek does is totally unique. I’m biased, but I think they are the finest live band on the planet. They touch your soul and take you to another plane of sonic existence.
