So it’s quadruple espresso coffee in the morning that powers the bike! I’ll have to learn Spanish and follow your trail.

Amazing adventure. Our favorite coffee is from El Olivio in Oaxaca City. Love the Mezcal fields. One of the most beautiful spots in Mexico. Lucky Mira!

Do you ever feel vulnerable or threatened wild camping , you have been doing a long time now I guess that maybe easier after time
@OmniTierra12 күн бұрын
That’s very rare for us. Choosing a good spot is the best way to avoid that stress. It is a skill to choose the perfect spot for a nights rest. Actually bikepacking in the countryside makes it easier.

greetings from Duzzer land aka "Colorado" super awesome video! thank you for sharing these magical moments! Kiki and me are fixing to start our journey dogpacking across the USA. in our dumpster diving expeditions we have found almost all of the gear we need to do it safely. I have already put on 1,862 miles on the old 1988 huffy mountain bike I found and restored, and yesterday we found a bike trailer for kids that I am repairing for Kiki. my best friend Kiki is a basset hound and her legs and ribs were broken by her former owner that I rescued her from so she can't walk very good. I thank you for showing me there is a way we can travel and see this beautiful world for almost free, I can't thank you enough dude!

Best of luck with your adventure. We usually prefer to ride north or south in the US since the western states have so much BLM land. We like it so much we have ridden border to border alsmost 6 times. Dogpacking.com is another great resource for a trip like you are planning.

It’s funny you say that about coffee. The spoon is actually quite small with a long handle so it is a bit hard to tell how much I used from the video

Hey John I see you got the h2jo. I put you on to that a while back in one of your mexico videos. I don't know if you remember or you just found it by yourself. Either way it's a great way to sort out real coffee issues. Have a good one. Oh my mira t-shirt arrived today just in time for my holiday next week. Love to you both😊

Hey John - What glasses are you wearing at around 9:10? They appear to be Oakleys, but what model? Muchas gracias!
@OmniTierra17 күн бұрын
They are Oakley double edge frames with prescription lens. Super comfortable and offer a good amount of protection against the wind.

Wow, this is soo great to see and what a coincidence one of my language exchange partners lives in Cuenca! I'm going to share this with him. Apparently it's about 4000metres altitude ?es correcto?
@OmniTierra17 күн бұрын
I think you might have the units a little off there. It’s about 2500 m here in Cuenca. Temperatures are great and from what I can understand basically December and January are the two wet months with everything else being really lovely to spend most of the day outside.
@RoadyPacking-CyclingAdventures16 күн бұрын
@@OmniTierra I must have misinterpreted his Spanish... maybe there's somewhere he visited in Ecuador 4000mtrs alt? Anyway, glad you're enjoying it out there. I'd love to get out there at some point on my bike touring journey. Sticking east of the Atlantic at the moment though. Great to see more of your stuff on YT!! Looking forward to your next installment ;-)

Just messaged him. It was Cajas National Park, is 30 minutes from Cuenca. Tu puedes llegar en coche hasta 4165 metros....

Sooo, how's the riding around Quenca? Good enough for an expat cyclist living there part time? Full time?
@OmniTierra17 күн бұрын
Honestly, if I didn’t have a plan to continue riding around, I would just stay here. It is a wonderful country and this city is incredible. Great bike shops, sufficient number of bike lanes with drivers that are courteous outside of the lanes. Easy access to the mountains and trails from the city. There is an airport here that services other parts of the country as well as short flights to Quito when you need to fly international. They love dogs and there are many parks here in the city as well. It would get my vote for a full or part-time cyclist.

Yes,@swisstop rate the best on the market. With any other brand, I’m sure I would’ve had to replace it sooner. Some brands of brake pads. I’ve gone through a set per week and I would imagine that their routers are similar in comparison.
