I'm of the same opinion as you I think, but it's an odd one. He most certainly has probably saved Japan several times over but in the events we have seen he's ignored the opinions of everyone else for his own plans. Sukuna would already be dead if they listened to the higher ups, but now its the higher ups who are dead along with most of the cast haha.

​@OJEL Gojo wanted to cultivate a new age of sorcerers to challenge the old system. If he didn't let them fight and grow stronger on their own and he just did everything that would have been deemed a challenge or risk to everyone else, no one would've grown stronger. Now that would've been fine if Kenjaku wasn't planning the apocalypse with Gojo's sealing.

The whole point is that his existence autonomically hinders the potential of other sorcerer’s, and whenever the big threat came along he was the only one who could do anything about it. If that were the case then the impact of him getting sealed wouldn’t have had as big of an effect as it did but it only took 2 weeks after the sealing for Japan to turn to shit. Again, it’s odd. In the series it’s said when the balance shifts one way or another, the universe always does something to correct it, like with Gojos birth, the power of all spirits were raised simply to keep the balance. Now that he’s gone, that power balance has shifted to the opposite extreme, so perhaps something else will come into being to correct it. And in turn, maybe the only way for Gojo to make his students stronger is by dying to allow this to happen.

@@OJEL yeah I 100% agree with that, I just kinda got the feeling OP kind of insinuated Gojo being negligent or ignorant of his actions, when he just fully trusted those around him to be able to handle things. Again, not knowing Kenjaku brought a thousand years of knowledge with him to fuck shit up lol. But yeah, Gojo dying will definitely push the balance back to evenly distribute itself among his students in their fight with Sukuna.
