Is this manga about anything or is it just the author drawing weird stuff for fun?

some moments feel like surreal sidequests, which in a way is drawing weird stuff for fun.. but there is a story with progression. its also a 4-koma manga, which is japans equivalent of a 'comic strip,' so its written in a light-hearted way. that being said, shit gets very intense several times, because tkmiz is always existential/philosophical.
