I love this performance of, “Spain”, Steve Gadd and the rest of the band were amazing. I miss Chick so much, I met him at the Blue Note in 98. He signed my, “Where have I known you before” album. He was so cool and friendly. Miss you, Chick!

That Steve Gadd groove, second to none! Just realized that I'd seen Chick live at this very location. Had a nice little chat with him in the green room after the gig, too. Nice memories!

Corea and Gadd were a team like Lennon and McCartney for the Jazz/Latin world. I like Gadd's use of 4 brushes, it mirrors Bonham's use of 4 sticks on "Four Sticks", Zep IV. Even the great Steve Gadd was influenced by Bonzo, the King of Rock Drums. Correa is likely jammin with Bonzo now, RIP.

Mann was für ein langweiliges Gedudel. Typisch „Guys“ Musik. Themenlos, technische Show, null Ästhetik. Null Gänsehaut bei der Darbietung. Der „beste Drummer“ gibts e nicht, genauso wenig wie die schönste Frau. Aber für die hier die was wirklich beeindruckendes suchen: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5unh42Gr8uGZ8U

Percussionist coming in clutch to save the time - even Gadd mentions losing where "1" is if he doesn't have a percussionist beside him.

Damn dood. Did Steve even break a sweat? Not that I could tell. Hell. Even Chick Corea got up to watch Steve groove his solo and play cowbell.

So great that they had another chance to play this live again. Although there are more 'famous' Steve Gadd drum tracks, this is the one that really turned peoples heads in the 70s.
