Best way not having to remove the seats and all that is to cut the plastic bulb housing all the way to the wire juncture point- socket the bulb in the housing and thenyou can the slide it with a good bit of pressure across the fabric deck at this point and barely get it into the deck hole /clips and then screw it down from the inside. Every other way is lucky or just takes a long time, taking seats apart.

I got lucky. The sun has baked the plastic cover on mine, so after I took the 2 screws out, the cover crumbled as soon as I touched it. I just said screw it, and yanked it out😆 it doesn't look too noticeable, and my light works now lol

sorry ...this not the way to do it ...two mounting screws from the truck access ....then one clip from inside the cabin ....pop off the reflector lens .... cut the upholstery from inside the trunk ....slide it laterally to change the bu;b then slide it back to re secure the two mounting screws ...( the cut upholstery is within the footprint of the plastic lens housing .., noone will know ) ... then re secure with the two mounting screws from within the trunk ...good luck

Yeah, if you can get the bulb out the other way great bcuz I tried and had to stop without breaking the light cover it was tight between the back glass hence why this video was basically the “right way” long way. Thanks for watching!

On my 2010 model the 1st time I had the dealer replace it and was charged $75. Terrible design as shown on other YT vids. This year it went out again. This time I had the dealer do it again BUT I went and got the LED equivalent bulb from an auto parts store as the dealer would only put in the OEM part and had them put the LED bulb in. Hopefully it will never need replacement again.

I did this method yesterday. I only learned of the other method (through the trunk) today. I am not sure I would used the "through the trunk" method if I had to do this again. I would try it, but it looks extremely fiddly. I would probably get frustrated easily. This method (removing the deck itself) while more labor intensive, seems much less fiddly. I realize it looks like overkill, removing all those components, but it's actually pretty easy...the toughest part is removing the side cusions, to get at the bolt that hold the cushion in and them re-installing it.....JMHO

You don't need to go through all that. Please search for other videos folks. I've watched them and while it is tricky this is not the way to do it.

This a damn shame, all that work to for that little light. They need to make it more accessible

I'm 6'2" with very large hands. I reached in the access port on top of the trunk and BARELY wiggled this bulb out and back in with my finger tips. Job took 2min. Didnt unscrew or unbolt a single thing. I went straight to the location and used good ole hand eye coordination. If you're handy, long needle nose pliers (or even better the long needle nose with a curved end) will get this job done easily in under 5min
