For anyone having this leak issue, here is what I did an it may help you. 1. Make sure your furnace is level (mine was not) 2. On the rubber 3 way elbow drain, move the hose clamp so it is on top of the pipe and not the bottom. 3. Above the rubber 3way elbow on the exhaust pipe, mark the top of the rubber pipe on the exhaust with a marker or pencil. 4. After loosening the rubber elbow connection to the exhaust, gently but firmly pull it down the pipe approximately 1/4 inch (marker line as reference) and retighten in that position. Hope that helps!

Same furnace and same problem I had, Goodman didn't think that when the fan is blowing the water will go into the drain hole but when the fan stops the condensation on the exit pipe will run down and with the fan not running the water will just run into the fan housing with some running down the drain hole, so has the commenter below said, I put a silicone bead like a U, half way around the inside of the elbow just where the clamp goes for the fan housing, now the water is stopped, when it runs back down the pipe it wont run down into the housing, for the last 2 days no water coming out of the housing, like Joe said a definite design flaw, furnace is not even a year old and rust all over the place like Joe's, had a heat pump installed that's the only reason I found out it was leaking, this video will help a lot of folks, thanks joe for posting.

I'm here cause my sons furnace is short cycling and we already changed flame sensor that didn't help. I told him he may want to use the cheapest filters cause of air flow but he refuses to even try. The pleated filters are black real fast after he changes them. I'm thinking we have to take off the inducer motor, but now I see we need to check that part you showed us where the water isn't sloped right. I'm sorry he got a goodman. I have a Rheem from 1992 with most original parts except inducer motor I changed last year and had first tune up.

@jwcool404 Жыл бұрын
Yea, it rusting because water is leaking out of the inducer housing onto the base plate. Only 6 month of actual service in 1 year and I'm trying to find a way to keep water out of my inducer housing. The rubber piece isn't molded correctly to drain water efficiently out of the pipe, of which it is supposed to do. I made a makeshift mini dam inside the rubber piece to keep water draining towards the end outlet . ill monitor the furnace to see if this works. Goodman support didn't help at all.

Wow 35 hours to set that up? I got mine up in 4 hours (also by myself). You know those Washers are meant to prevent leaking ( that's why they "squish" when you drive the screw in it fills in the small area around the screw "hole"), so everywhere you put in your zip screws is now a potential leaking hazard. ( The couple things I will agree with you on is LOTS OF TINY PARTS lol. Oh and I also Caulked the seems for a bit of extra protection. Also to be fair, mine must have been a revised shed, my part numbers were stamped into them, that would piss me off if they had freaking whiteboard marker that just wipes off when it gets wet. Good Job on the Shed though, You will be glad you didn't get one of those plastic ones, they Suck, they are super light and more delicate than the steel one. ( based on my personal experience). Thanks for the Vid!

Why not just Knurl the surface of the bearing mount then press it into the block without any high tech glue? The simple marking of a surface with a punch will give it enough grip so it will not be loose in the block or head.

The alliance / encore used walbro fuel pumps which were good, starters and alternators were Paris-Rhone, Ducellier and in the later cars were Bosch. The automatic transmissions were bad they would lose third and reverse frequently. The Fuego used the same drivetrain as the 18i / sportwagon many parts also interchange with the Winnebago Lesharo RV. At this point a Renault is a weekend/ novelty car, I guess if you found a low mileage rust free alliance encore dirt cheap it might be a temporary car but so many other newer / more reliable cars can be had why go Renault. P.S. I'm not a hater I've owned countless Renault's but I'm being objective.

That heater core recall was in the early 1990's some 30 years ago. Yes true they could rupture, but never one of mine e er. The trick is not to get the car so boiling hot. which is why it let loose in the first place. Most Alliance and Encore owners have been well past this- including me for years

Hi Marc and all. I spoke to my friend who does landscaping and he said: why don't you go to the big landscaping supply and get some pre-emergent herbicide with NO Fertilizer. He said forget all that Depot and Lower stores with don't sell what you exactly need. So I found a place and got a 20 lb bag of Pre emergent WITHOUT any fertilizer added. It was actually cheaper than home improvement places. The first time it was over 50 degrees 2 days in a row I put it down. This was April 2 0r 4th This stuff works. This is the second year I have been using the granules. I spread the regular rate around the edges of my spreading Zoyzia, and lightly treat the zoyzia itself. This lasts about 45 days So I will re-apply in late May and this will take me thru to august. Now I'm not a real big chemical guy and I dislike using any kind of chemical, but the granuals really make a world of difference. I have NO CRAB GRASS. However I do have other grasses that do grow in the zoyzia, but this is OK as summer heat will dry it off-- the small grasses. I will then use a liquid in a spot sprayer to keep the clover away as "Clover" will either kill the zoyzia or severely retard the Zoyzia taking over. So now this is the 2nd year I have been using the Pre-Emergent and this year- 2019 I have NO CRAB Grass. in the slowly developing Zoyzia- which by the way just turned green from brown here in Cincinnati area. I knew there was an answer and this is the best and cheapest way to keep my zoyzia spreading and looking Great. Find a big landscaping supply store and specifically ask for NO Fertilizer Pre Emergent. Even if you put it down now ( kinda late ) you may have better success .BTW-- I bekieve my type of slow growing Zoyzia is Zenith Zoyzia that was developed in the late 1950's All my plugs were free from other yards that were overgrowing the sidewalks.
@Marc98895 жыл бұрын
My experience with Zoysia has been very similar. It's very slow to come out of hibernation in the spring, which allows all the weeds to get a head start on it. By the time the Zoysia gets going, the wild onion, etc. has a huge jump on it, and it looks terrible. After a good bit of research, I used a product called GrazonNext to spot-treat the weeds, which was somewhat expensive and time consuming. Even applying it to mostly-dormant Zoysia, the result was a complete disaster. Yes, the weeds are gone, but so is about 1/2 my Zoysia. It's May 1st now, and I have lots of spots that are crispy brown where last year I had healthy Zoysia. I STILL don't have any idea what herbicide to use to kill the weeds and not injure or kill my lawn. Any and all help is appreciated.

I used a spot sprayer for crabgrass and a pre-emergent every 4 weeks and after 3 years the entire back area is zoyzia... yes, a lot of maintenance but finally a full spread

Very heavy aluminum roof with leaks all over the seams. Heavy loads of Caulking over the Caulking revealed the true problems underneath. To find issues you have to clean metal, strenghten what you can, and use waterproof glues to seal it back up. New sealers are a good thing.

I started Zoysia one year ago. My main contender is johnson grass, but I have a little bit of everything. I put plugs out in one area 12" apart like the guide says, and they got quickly overrun by something I don't recognize. My bigger clumps I put down last year are doing pretty well though. I guess what I'm saying is putting down 200+ plugs, it is impossible to pull weeds around them or spot spray around them. It would be a full time job. I put down some palm sized clumps cut from sheets and they can usually fend for themselves.

Joseph Wagner great information. My dad is a mechanic when I was a kid he bought my mom a 1983 Renault Encore under hundred thousand miles on it only reason he bought it was it was good deal he knew nothing about french cars at the time. It ran good for a while made it from Indiana to New York so they seem pretty reliable. But little later timing belt broke bent valves. My dad had the engine repaired. Guy at parts store gave him choice between a really cheap timing belt and a expensive belt. My dad had very little money left after having engine repaired bought the cheaper timing belt. It ran for about 1 or 2 weeks then belt broke again bending valves. Renault did not like the cheap timing belt. Had he ran more expensive belt and replaced pulleys still be ruining know most likely. Seems there good cars as long as maintenance is down religiously.

What you need is a repellent that you can spray on the plants and grass ... a smell that they just can't stand. I wonder if such a repellent exists. I've been trapping too, but we don't have as big of a problem in MN as you're fighting. My 2 traps 20 feet from the garden has keep most of them away from the garden. One suggestion is to raise your traps much higher than the plants and place them a bit further away ... at least 20 feet (the further the better). Being at the same level as the plants, and close by, might be why so many dine there.
