Hi Bernice, you are giving me a difficult task🤔 It's really hard to describe Sam's facial expressions exactly. They often only differ in tiny nuances. I choose to interpret this expression on Sam's face as "slightly curious and questioning." I imagine Sam might look that way tomorrow on his birthday when he spots the two of us at his birthday party 😲sipping a wee Sassenach and giggeling and he wonders, "Who the hell are these two pretty ladies and why wasn't I introduced to them?"😍😍 By the way, I agree with you that Jasmine has once again painted this portrait excellently. 👌

Hi Jasmine. You did a great and professional job again. I find your explanations when working on your portrait very interesting, for example how you use light and shadow to bring out the contours. Of course you can't show us every step of your work, but thanks to your explanations I now have a rough idea of how much effort and time it takes to create such a professional portrait. You are very careful and meticulous, an artist with a very good eye for detail and your portraits of Sam are wonderful, this one is also very well done.👍👍👍👍👍👍😍 By the way, I'm also annoyed that 7B won't air until November. It really upset me because they didn't explain the reasons for the delay, but we obviously have no choice but to wait.

And yes, I'm so annoyed that season 7B is coming so late. It feels like 2 mini seasons rather that "one long season" that was advertised. But at least there is something to look to the future for!

Hello Bernice. Maybe you are right in your assessment. I'm thinking about when Sam was talking about how he started crying during a reading for the new scenes of S8 and suddenly they heard the melody of the Skye Boat song outside and he realized again that the series was actually coming to an end. Sam isn't afraid to talk about his emotions and I think he's really sad that the Outlander adventure is coming to an end. 😢

@@jazzdrawsart Hello Jasmine, I feel the same, I think Sam’s face often reflects his thoughts on the ending of an era really, over a decade of portraying Jamie with his extended family and Caitriona will leave a massive gap in his life, although the work schedule was pretty gruelling most of the time what with the Scottish climate and heavy costumes …. I would love to know what he thinks of your amazing portrait’s of him, I guess you would have to go to one of his events and meet him, I believe he is absolutely charming to speak to, if I were forty years younger and able bodied I’d be off like a shot! 😘 Is there a Nobleman cover with Sam smiling I’m wondering 💭 maybe you’ll surprise us but we are running out of time aren’t we! 🙏🥀🤗

Hello Bernice, I absolutely agree with your words. I too love Sam's captivating smile and open eyes more and that shows the real Sam. In these photo shoots the photographers always ask for a model face, a thoughtful, distant and cool guy. Sam shows this to perfection and Jasmine transformed this look again perfectly in her portrait of Sam 👍👍although I was a bit scared when she started her sketch with a skull.😬 😅

I can only recommend ordering one of Jasmine's beautiful Sam Heughan portraits. I surprised my girlfriend with it last year and she was over the moon. I can well imagine how difficult it is to paint Sam's pronounced features like his craggy cheek- and jawbones, but you solved it wonderfully with the shading. You did an excellent job of expressing his “model face”. Bravo Jasmine. Your art is amazing.😍

I loved this movie too. Much more so than Love Again. I have say that I have recently been watching some of his earlier roles and I really found his performance in Midsomer Murders Season 10 episode 3 very interesting. I actually loved watching it. I also checked the documentary A Very British Sex Scandal and his performance was very poignant and riveting. As for his accent I noticed that he easily switches his accent depending on the situation. He can switch to a American accent if he wants to and he has several times , he can talk w his sort Scottish accent ( regional) and has a lovely British accent when he wants to. I think the fact that he’s been trained in theatre helps and he’s highly cultured and well exposed and has lived in London for 12 years before moving back to Scotland to shoot Outlander. There are very interesting interviews w him while working on the Batman live and in those interviews he sounded perfectly English, in fact he can speak w a educated sort of posh English accent. As Diana Gabaldon has described him as being like a chameleon. There are several sides to him and it s perfectly true.

Galway I was getting rather worried when you failed to comment last night, but then you just turned up thank goodness, I’ve always thought Sam has a mystic smile, can’t wait to see which smile he is wearing tomorrow! looking at some scenes from ‘Love Again’ he can still pass for twenty something in my book 👌
