@@birdcrossing Trading cards are actually rather cheap (less than 30 cents a booster pack) to produce from what I understand from Magic the Gathering; I'm not too familiar with issues on the Upper Deck website though :o hopefully they eventually fix the issues

It's possible, but there should be enough support already to make an early game aggressive style deck which should be quite good against decks that are trying to get to turn 5 to (re)play Khan The dice rolling aspect of it will also help to not be crippling against a Khan but still difficult to come back from for sure

Yeah that's totally fair for not being able to use Soup Faerie, using 2 cards per turn for the first few turns if you curve out on Codestones should help with keeping inventory size lower, but even just drawing an extra card every few turns is still a great effect :> Naia's best strength relies on you a) not drawing the RPB and b) not having already played the RPB; I would personally take the effects of the other Faeries over the +1 Atk/Def/Agi if you can't get the most value out of her; you're also incentivized to hold on to a PB for the 3rd round to get the stat bonus from Naia so there are some nuances to having her in the deck Her ban potential stems of T1/T2 Naia -> tutor RPB, paint

That's true, they are a decent factor in who will win the battles, but taking the Equipment in the Booster set of Defenders of Neopia into account, there are almost always going to be more powerful Equipment (imo) at the same Level of the ones in the Starter decks :> I'm sure that there will be at least 1 strategy that would prefer the Equipment from the Starter Decks instead though!

Heya, yep, as long as you have 1+ codestone attached to your neopet you can play the hot dog at any time; before you draw for turn, after you draw for turn but before attachig codestone, etc Also yep, whoever has the higher agility during battle is the one that gets the single reroll of dice, dice number equal to the difference in agility :>

Neopets is a wonderful creation :D As far as complexity, most definitely! The starter decks are just that - very basic, simple, and easy to learn starting point for the game! Just wait for the card reviews and inevitable wacky interactions videos :p As far as competitive, it is a game based around randomness with the dice, so that is a large deterent for $1 million prize tournaments for example, in my opinion. People that play card games competitively / seriously will not be interested in Battledome due to the much much higher randomness compared to other tcgs.
