Nice enough video, but there are plenty of very nice boroughs in Western PA, while your listed is far too Eastern PA heavy.

Correct pronunciation is Coos County (as in Cooing Baby with an S at the end) _NOT_ Co-Os (like Chaos). The way the narrator mispronounced it, I have to wonder if he's ever even _been_ to New Hampshire!

Carlisle, Hanover, Aspers and others in South Central PA are with manufacturing jobs of IPhone, Food, Snacks and other products we use as these major companies pay well above PA Minimum wage of $7.25 a hour as they have offers for 401K, Health Care packages and more. I've worked in many of them and am trying to go back to them once I can find housing as rent is very high in those areas. Yet they are great areas to live in. Mass Transit in Pittsburgh has been getting deeply worse over the years and is expected to get worse. Rabbit Transit operates Class 5 Paratransit as Rich Farr CEO has been doing his best to improve services both on ACCESS and fixed transit in the Region. Rich truly is a caring CEO and he pours his heart out to expand services, yet its hard with Penn DOT and Democrats don't care to spend funding properly.

After we lost Coal, Coke and Steel Indaustries we have seen McKeesRocks, McKeesPort, Braddock, Homewood-Brushton and others that have tuned into a high crime street drug, and other violent crime area including City of Pittsburgh. Our Trail area on old railbeds are beautiful, yet Monongahela Valley including Allegheny, Westmoreland others along the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers have been filled with crime.

I think Niagara Falls loses a few points for being such an obvious choice. I live 20 miles away from it, and the sentiment around here is sort of along the lines of "Oh yeah, I guess that is sort of a world-renown place, isn't it?" Like how people from NYC kind of yawn at the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building and all the other big-name places that tourists want to see. On the flip side of that, I'd put Chimney Bluffs somewhere in the top-10, partly because it seems significantly under-known, and also because it doesn't look like something in you'd find in New York, or even the Northeast in general. If you showed a photo of it to a hundred people who'd never seen it before, I bet none of them would guess that it's in NY.

I just recently came across your channel, and growing up in PA and spending a lot of summers in upstate NY, I enjoy your videos. Interesting tidbit on "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". The story was actually based in the Town of Kinderhook, and the headmaster there, James Merwin. Martin Van Buren, who was born, raised and retired in Kinderhook, was friends with both James Merwin and Washington Irving, and there was a series of letters between Irving and Van Buren confirming it.

The Seneca Army Depot is also famous for its white deer. They are not albino, but are white from a recessive gene. Since they are in a protected area (a former base) there was no hunting allowed and they flourished.

I’ve lived in upstate for 100% of my almost 70 yrs and your list, while all pretty cool places, is definitely NOT authoritative 😂😂, How anyone could thing Owego is more interesting than Saratoga, Ithaca, Hammondsport, CORNING, is beyond me. But that’s OK - once you get into any of the district areas of upstate every few miles is another cool place.

Guy! Seriously? Non Massholes… Nantucket is for if you want to wear your Vineyard Vines and act like a douche, and if you want to go to Martha’s Vineyard, you will take a nap. Everything closes early, the stores are awful and just no. Don’t waste your time and money. And for the love of God, DO NOT go to Plymouth and to Plymouth Rock. It’s horrible. Go to Berlin, no where near a city. Go to Welfleet, North Yarmouth if you have kids. There are so many better “Mass places”.

As a native to Berlin, and having lived around the state a bit, berlin is the absolute worst city on this list. Currently a Manchester resident, it has its issues for sure, but berlin is so lost to time and corrupt local and drugs. Crime is going up and has been for awhile, drugs are getting worse, the homeless population is growing rapidly and the economy is non existent. There isn't even a hotel I'm city limits. It has no right to be that high. Maybe rochester and manchester could be considered worse, but I would argue the bigger city issues in such a small place makes it awful. I would also like to add, claremont isn't that nice either. Though not as bad as berlin, it is definitely not higher then lebanon

1 in and I can already tell we've lost the plot. Also little known fact, Berlin is one of the worst places in NE for many reasons. Keene isn't amazing, but better than 12,10, 9, and5 and maybe 6 and 7 IMO. Nashua is over hated I guess.

Wow, I can appreciate you are looking at this from an urban planner/city layout kind of view, which is a vastly different ordering than I'd choose. No way is Keene lower than Claremont, for example. Keene is far more exciting, with a lively dining scene in no small part to the college. Have you been to Claremont in the spring/fall/WINTER? yeah. and Berlin STILL is a stinky mess. Also, how can you talk about Nashua but fail to mention a place like Mine Falls? sorry, but this list is just not good.

I agree Portsmouth is #1, but it has changed a lot since I grew up there in the 1960s and 70s. It used to be a blue collar town, and I don’t object to it becoming more of a tourist attraction, but the unintended consequence is that the middle class is getting pushed out and it’s increasingly expensive to find decent housing there. Plus, a lot of transplants are moving there that didn’t grow up there, don’t know or much appreciate the city’s history, and buy property there as an investment rather than as a place to live. That contributes to the crazy expensive real estate market. I lived in the DC area for 45 years after going to college there and diligently protected the equity in my house for 25 years, with a plan to sell my house and pay cash for a house on the NH seacoast, only to come home and realize that the houses in the DC area are now cheaper. That’s pretty bad. Plus, the city recently celebrated its 400th anniversary, and you would have barely known. When I was in high school, we celebrated the city’s 350th anniversary and it was a huge deal. The difference? Locals vs. transplants. People who grew up there and knew the city’s history vs. transplants who have no roots there. Other than that, I agree Somersworth and Rochester are the armpits of the state, but I’d rank Rochester slightly higher. At least they have a country fair there in the fall and Somersworth just has high property taxes in town that looks like a set from the Twilight Zone.

I moved to the Owego area 6 months ago. I was blessed by the goddesses with a rental “hunting lodge” on a private lake.our road is gravel and potholes. There are chickens, ducks one domestic goose and loads of Canada geese and other wild birds. The little cluster of houses can’t be seen from the main road. It’s so beautiful and quiet. The village of Owego is just as presented: quaint, historic, beautiful and well cared for. People love it here, and the locals are kind and friendly. I will never leave. ❤
