Why is it so hard to leave links to the decklists lol
@Maclunkygaming4 сағат бұрын
@@tongaexpress we didn’t have access to any Swiss decklists, only top cut and that was after the event was concluded. SCG tournaments are closed decklists even during top cut.

@VVRATHH5 күн бұрын
made no difference forgetting to pay the upkeep, should've attacked for 3 the turn before, opponent had to answer both the leader and falcon so Han would've had initiative and lethal still irrespective of what the jango player decided to do
@magethorns67995 күн бұрын
he can use the resource that was gained from attacking with Han before he defeats it
@TDTatta5 күн бұрын
@@VVRATHH If he attacks for 3 with Falcon then he dies if I claim and have surprise strike. I think we all agree that attacking was correct in hindsight but he felt like he had more outs if he claimed (Like Cunning or his own Surprise Strike).
@VVRATHH5 күн бұрын
@@TDTatta Forgive my ignorance, think you had that won unless Filip had exactly surprise strike after revaluation, I neglected the repertoire of possibilities if you claimed; simply crashing Silencer to tap, better the Raider you had, he checked and noted two of your surprise strikes were gone and I think you definitively couldn't win in one action without surprise strike like himself there. However, I think you just had total advantage of the board state there where winning in two actions was possible for you and not Filip, very insightful games.

Are you able to change which resources are exhausted in a turn? I noticed that he stole the ready resource, but then exhausted it and readied a different one as he took it
@Maclunkygaming6 күн бұрын
Yes as per the new rules you’re allowed to rearrange your resources as long as they reflect what has already been paid
@Mr007agent6 күн бұрын
You can with a ready resource but at 15:45 there wasn’t a ready resource when stolen. That was absolutely a misplay.

I see sooo many misplays on streams from these tournaments. I feel for the integrity of the game if a tourney is streaming matches then a judge should be watching that game at all times actively correcting misplays, and only walks away in must leave cases. Bigger tourneys usually have more than 1 judge so it shouldnt be a huge issue.
@Maclunkygaming6 күн бұрын
The streaming table was a bit further away from the main tables so a judge wasn't always present unfortunately. We did our best to try flagging one down to correct board states when we could but not everything could be caught on time :(

What a crazy match against an incredible player. I couldn't have asked for a better finals. The story of this match feeling like an impossible matchup against an unbeatable opponent (I lost to Reflex 0-2 in Swiss), and learning from my mistakes throughout the tournament was wild. Losing G1 because I took my foot off the gas, and winning a convincing G2 because of my crazy tech (all thanks to the Bothan Network) gave me so much confidence that it could actually work out. And then game 3, where we started rough and scrappy, I had another solid lead, and Reflex drew and played absolutely perfectly to come back 1 damage and 1 action faster than me to close the game was everything I could ask for in a finals. What a great set. I've gone over the lines and spoken to so many people about other tactics and playlines both of us could have taken. Ultimately, I feel really great about my choices (including not killing the phantom with the spacer and going for the kill with daring raid), but I was outplayed by not considering the final surprise strike (which honestly did surprise me). There are so many micro-choices in this match that were so wild to me, including the mind games of the snowtroopers, the buy-off ability of the mercenary gunship (which I was always terrified of, and it ultimately lost me damage), and what I think is the hero play of the match - Reflex taking my TDR with Bhodi before playing the Cunning (instead of in the other order). Fantastic match and I'll see you at Worlds for sure! Thanks again to Maklunky gaming for streaming and coordinating commentary. really top notch coverage and I can't wait to see them again.
