Your videos are providing comfort and support for many people with GZL. My 17 yr old daughter has been tentatively diagnosed with GZL after initially been diagnosed with HL. We know we are about to begin a journey of ups and downs and discovery. Your videos are an absolute godsend and provide us with an insight of what to expect. Xx

Respectfully, chiming in as a medical professional in infectious disease. Lymphoma, is very hard to diagnose. Very hard. Why? Because even Pathologists are sometimes not trained efficiently in diagnosing or detecting Lymphoma. Lymphoma isn’t generally found in blood testing. There is a difference between lymph nodes enlarging where it is literally pronounced off the skin or it’s just a sub-surface enlargement caused by a virus. A virus, can have lymph nodes permanently enlarged. For the person who mentioned Gardisil, the HPV Vaccine causing Lymphoma, you should be muted. Having lymphoma as bad as it sounds is levels better than having ovarian, breast or cervical cancer. HPV strains cause those types of cancer and they are usually fatal after a certain stage. so don’t ever speak about a vaccine you don’t work with. Now back to lymphoma. Most physicians cannot diagnose a lymphoma. It is a specialized form of training to identify. Your symptoms can have symptoms or none at all. Generally weight loss is key, 15 pounds lost in a months time is bad. Severe itching on the back, the bottom of the feet is bad. Pain in your middle back that doesn’t go away. Bad. Dry cough that has no reason or illness. Bad. If you have stage 4 lymphoma there are like 56 types of lymphoma. It can generally have similar prognosis as stage 2A or stage 2B. The cancer is within the lymph nodes so they generally do not spread outside the nodes. It can occur, it’s rare. That’s why the treatment for lymphoma has a very very high success rate. Yes chemo sucks. Yes ports suck. However, imagine just having to use chemo or radiation to target lymph nodes instead of 3 or 4 organs or the brain. That’s why lymphoma is sometimes even a better cancer to have than skin cancers that require aesthetic plastic surgery & sometimes chemotherapy. Other signs of lymphoma comparable to infections is that swelling should be painful or tender when it’s an infection. Cancer usually doesn’t cause pain unless it’s pressing on nerves. Remember, you can have permanent lymph node enlargement to a certain degree based on prior 🦠 viruses however they are usually just palpable not visible to the eye. Anything sticking out of the skin that has no connection to a recent illness, warrant Ultra-sound or biopsy. Don’t wait. Be calm. Realize you are not alone. God & your medical team will protect you.

You do not "need" to have one perspective or another. Just yours. I struggle with anxiety and depression and too many people have too many opinions. Just listen to a dr. and/or therapist if you like. And if you have menopause now of course you're going to cry and feel just weird. Remember, there is no shoulda, woulda. It's just what YOU can do each day. I hope this helps because "I get it". You"re such a brave woman. There major advances in oncology. You'll see that at the least they will control it and even heal completely. Try soursop leaf powder in between chemos. But ask first you're oncolgist. I'm sure he'll say it's rubbish. Do your own research in this regard. If chemo is working successfully then don"t in central america and south america it's native culture saying wonders about graviola en polvo or hojas de guanaba en polvo as they say in Spanish. The fruit where leaf powder comes from goes by the name if gusnábana or graviola and soursop in English but I insist... Do research and never take anything DURING chemo without your doctor's knowing. This would be in-betwee. Cancer goes in my family and I had to do a lot of research mysel for my father. Ha had another kind of csncer. A big hug
