I had my body ecu go bad on a 2009 mazda 6. Similar issues. My factory added alarm from Mazda went bad. After it was replaced and the alarm removed, i had to use my key for everything. Went bad in 2020. 11 years

I used to have a saab mechanic looked exactly like him. He was a super mechanic. He fixed everything and explained it all down to every detail. Mechanics, these days are entitled estimators who knew nothing but to replace modules based on eec readings.

When you actually take your vehicle to real mechanic

I have learned at times with systems under pressure you only start with 1 leak and fix it, only to have that leak sealed and it causes another leak to show up usually due to old hoses. Or you forgot to put something on right. Also if you get a new radiator always replace the cap. If you don't know how old the cap is replace it. $10 for a new cap is better than having one fail on the road.

I had a woman pay me almost 40 hours labor to disassemble her car and find the GPS tracker. Her ex-husband had been stalking her, and they couldn't prove it. After hours and hours of digging, I found a tracker mounted to the firewall of the car from the inside and was mounted behind the radio and a/c ducting. What gave it away was a random sheet metal screw that I noticed poking into the engine bay above the transmission. The factory doesn't use self tapping sheet metal screws. Her ex ended up going to jail and was sued, and I was called as a witness. Her lawyer actually paid me for my time testifying. Definitely an interesting and kinda creepy experience.
