No one watch it but great!! I can only find these quality content by rss feed that i actively registered 😂😂😂. I just found out this video the same to the book I read recently. The book says the only test that is proved useful is the test experimented by Colombia university. the classified testers into two groups, aggressive and defensive( the book is in Chinese so I don't know the exact translation). They found out this classification are highly correlated to what job they will do.

I don't still clearly understand how to offer value cause my perception to things are different from the next person. However, i totally understand that Value is immeasurable and the value added to any product or service should always be the why or the reason of why that product exists in the first place Your well appreciated sir for this but ill still love if you could create more content videos with respect to this ❤

Hopefully pre screening before hiring can be done to avoid wasting efforts for both parties. The goal should be to find the person who is the right fit for the position.

Business Ethics are dead and they've been dead for decades now. Its a joke that they're even taught in college other than an amusing oddity from ancient history. No matter how high up on the pole you think you are, you're most likely extendible, and at most a minor inconvenience for someone else who's whole job it is to find someone to replace you at a lower cost rather than just not having that position and paying each worker a little better, or having systems like a pension in place to instill loyalty. If a company does offer some long term benefit be sure to read the fine print on it and know you'll probably be let go before you can qualify for it. The work place has gone from a squeaky wheel gets the grease to the nail that stands out is hammered down. Integrity doesn't matter because the company is a mechanical uncaring entity. Someone who represents that company may take the fall, but they're expendable. It takes so much damage to actually hurt a brand to the point that it either can't be repaired and people will stop using it. More likely than not the product or service is good enough that people will overlook it.

Does seem grim out there. When shareholders are pushing for higher valuations it can break people and make them take unethical actions. This might be a good case for not being a publicly traded company when possible.

Giving employees additional work projects without at least a minimal pay increase is pretty much a slap in the face to employees that are exceeding expectations. Your management advice is missing that key issue.

Caught in the midst of merging schools (school admins used the euphemism "consolidation") a decade ago, my teaching colleagues and I just sighed, hoping against all hope that our once-flat administrative structure would stay relatively flat. Instead, senior leadership seemed hellbent on insulating themselves from staff and classroom instructors' concerns, creating admin positions left and right, e.g., assistant- and associate-level versions for every school dean, VP, service department, etc. "A dead fish rots from the head down" so goes the maxim. So sad to see a promising lib arts school turn into a diploma mill.
@thebusinessmindset Жыл бұрын
Sounds like a difficult transition if the school is focusing more on profitability, which allows for more silos to be created in the organization.
@AEOlvido Жыл бұрын
@@thebusinessmindset School admins weren't shy about "growing enrollment" and pushing "student success" initiatives, that is, getting more students to enroll in extra classes (=prioritizing full-time over part-time students), fill out student FAFSA forms, bullying instructors to "simplify" course material to ensure enough students pass required courses, and then bragging in their annual reports about the increased numbers of certificates, associates, and bachelors degrees awarded each year. Meanwhile, senior admins pool financial aid resources to award scholarships to their favorite students (=academically strong or else legacy students) at the expense of expanding tutoring and in-class help for majority of their student population who just happen to be working students who've had to struggle academically and financially. I feel more of today's U.S. colleges and universities operate like for-profit than non-profit institutions (at best), or else giant Ponzi schemes (at worst)! Not surprisingly, the shift in focus by college presidents and their VPs from lib arts to vocational training went hand-in-hand with schools hiring people with business backgrounds than with bona fide academic degrees to fill senior leadership positions. I counsel young folks to avoid enrolling at colleges headed by presidents with only MBA or JD degrees.

Right we are not family
@arnoldmiga56895 ай бұрын
@@thebusinessmindset Thanks for taking this on the chin! I heard a good reference why a company is not a family - it's because we (employees) are not holding shares and are not contributing in the profits. We lease our work to enrich others who obviously must earn more from our work than what we are paid. And we are not family because we can be let go on the whim depending on business need (e.g. moving manufacturing overseas), hence we should always look at number one which is us.

great video! what examples of why is there for a company? in the end of the day we work for selfish reasons, we want money to better our life, and the feeling of achievement and satisfaction. is the why that the customer wants us to have is the value that we offer him? that our drive will be to help him and other people? although it is also clear that the purpose of a business is money to live?
@thebusinessmindset Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. You are correct, at a basic level we work for our own basic needs and wants. However, after our needs are met, we want to make a difference in the work we do. If a company has a higher purpose everyone believes in, such as striving to improve daily life for individual customers, the passion and dedication can improve products and services adding "value" in the eyes of the customer. The cost of acquiring new customers is much higher than taking care of existing customers. Businesses should be focusing on creating a fan base that can generate referrals instead of cold customer leads who might not me a match for the business.

Employees want & need "FLEXIBILITY"....Work-Life balance! Yet, get written up after being 4 minutes late on a random Tuesday.
@thebusinessmindset Жыл бұрын
We don't know the context of the example you are referring to. However, some workplaces are very strict and must communicate why the work needs to be that way. Others, need to take a more humanistic approach. Especially when businesses need their employees. Let's face it. The financial cost of turnover is way higher than retaining and motivating existing employees. Empathy and communication on expectations on work outputs should be evident for everyone so they feel a part of the team.

It depends on the products I guess. Essential products always sell. Gigantic companies who own almost all food and groceries stuff sell "low" priced items but in tons of volume everyday.

@thebusinessmindset Жыл бұрын
All companies are not great at communication to be honest. It is something we all need to work on. Here are some notable off the top of my head. Twitter, Nokia, Enron, and British Petroleum. If you read about their issue, you find a lot of the problems come down to communication.
