First of all SKY is the permanant captain in T-20 format so now we have to look for a new captain after Rohit retires from Test and ODI format If you take any other cricket teams at present only westindies is having 3 captains in 3 formats but rest of the cricket playing countries have only 2 captains one for test and one for both Odi and T20I so in India we do not have the culture of making 3 captains for 3 formats so we need a captain who can captain indian team in both odi and Test format for that you need a player who as cemented is place permanently in both odi and Test cricket and I feel kl Rahul is the only player who has cemented is place in both the format ofcourse there was a question about is test form during home series vs NZ but he as played decently well in Australia in BGT overseas as a test batter he is having good record only while playing in Indian subcontinent and that too nowadays slightly his form as dipped but that's not an issue he will make a come back hence he will be the best choice for becoming the captain in both Test and odi there are two more players Yashaswi and Bumrah they both are all format and all condition players Coming to Yashaswi I do not know why Yashaswi is not been selected nowadays in T20s especially after Abhishek Sharma entry into the T20 squad they say he has been given rest if it comes to ODI format Yashaswi will not play Odi cricket until Rohit Sharma retires from Odi he will be in the Odi squad as a backup opener but he will not play a single match until Rohit Sharma retires so at present he is playing Test cricket only so let him make come back in T20 and let him force coach and team management to play him in odi playing XI and perform and cement his his place permanently then we can see him as future captain Coming to Bumrah he is getting injured frequently hence he can't be captaining Test side and ODI he is not been playing Odi except when it comes to ICC Odi tournament but in bilateral Odis he is not playing due to work load management to save him from getting injured So finally I want to say make kl Rahul as captain in both Test and Odis that is the only option left since he is senior cricketer experienced cricketer and is almost permanent in both Test cricket and ODI cricket so make him captain in these two formats and let SKY continue captaining the Indian side in T20 format
