Its really quite simple. You are clearly a good drummer, fact is, you overplayed this. The chorus lost its ballsack because of overplaying fills. How about re recording it with wellying the open hats on the chorus instead of showing off and destroying any feel the song needs

Great to see u back Phil! Have been subscribed for more than a decade. Thanks for being an inspiration when i was a kid trying to learn drums! Didn’t expect to see a one-man band debut today. It must’ve took a lot of effort and talent to learn playing the keyboard, songwriting and singing. I hope to see more coming soon!

I relate sooo much to that haha, Phil really was an inspiration and motivation for me to play drums! Times goes so fast, that also was more than a decade ago... Paradise Peponi by Phill was one of the first "hard" song I learnt, I even watched the video on slow motion and wrote on a sheet of paper every note to understand it 😂
