I have 2 CT Micro Rad Pros. Nice red dot for pistols. but honestly for the money, next time I would spend some extra and go with a Holosun 507k. Daytime they are great. issue comes in when its low to no light.. they are automatic brightness and when its dark the dot is bright enough to see if you really focus but almost feels too dim where if you really needed to find it with everything that comes with high intensity situation where it matters, you would miss it

How is the quality of the PA ifak bag?

I love mine! Bought two of them for my AR’s... they look nice, well made and cheap! I’d kinda like one on my 12ga. We’ll see how it holds up!

I’m 26 now, a family man, and a dad to 2 girls. 10 years ago I was running the streets doing a lil bit of everything. Toted a lot of guns, Rugers, Glocks, S&W, whatever. But I was maybe 17 and first got an XD-40. 7+ shootouts with it and every time I squeezed the trigger it fired. First gun I was ever truly attached too, and trusted 100%. Fast forward to now and I have a LEGAL XDM-9 and I still think back on those times my XD kept me alive, and I feel great knowing that’s what’s protecting me and my kids. (Also got my girl a Hellcat, we’re a Springfield family over here even though she likes the G43 better)

Thread barrel is overrated 22 is quite enough

I picked up the new threaded barrel WMP, and it’s been a solid shooter so far! I would say in your case it’s more than likely a break in period. Keep air racking it and blasting her. Im sure she’ll come around! Love the Federal Punch ammo tho.

In my experience, most people hate Springfield as a company (understandably), and that bleeds into hating their products. I do believe the hate on the XD series is pretty much unwarranted; speaking anecdotally, I've know upwards of 10 people who have owned XDm's and XD-S's (myself included) and they've all run perfectly well

Nice summary of the Mini-14. They change in the barrel was to make it heavier weight and taper it at the front to make it less prone to vibrational movement in the stock. I bought mine new for a feral hog problem and without even putting it on paper I dropped two hogs first time out. Its accuracy to me is good enough at the "minute of a hog" size.

I just got a new XDM Elite OSP. It's my favorite pistol. The package I bought also came with a 35 round mag. I wanted this XDM for years and I knew about the Echelon but I wasn't even considering it.

ps - when putting it back together you have to push the front of the barrel toward the rear while releasing the slide and it will help quite a bit

I bought a Walther WMP about 6 months ago and it has been absolutely terrible from the beginning - I wanted to make it work because I spent almost $500 for it so I tried polishing the feed ramp, using different types of lubrication/oil, all kinds of ammo and it has never been consistently reliable. I blame the fact that it is actually an Umarex made gun not real Walther. I have a PPQ m2 9mm and it has been flawless. I'll never buy a toy gun company made gun ever again. I decided to get a PSA Rock 5.7 to replace it and it has been MUCH better, no issues at all.

Everyone trusts magpul AR mags, so it seems stupid not to trust their Glock mags. Mine have been great.

I have an express magnum that I bought in 2007 for home defense(18 inch barrel and extended mag tube)which was the year Remington sold to freedom group. I’m really not sure if mine is a leftover Remington or a freedom group gun cause it’s right when the merger happened but I haven’t had any problems with mine with about 50 shells fired through it. I did upgrade the extractor like you and I also put in a Nordic aluminum follower. I would also do this if I were you. Works much smoother and is much stronger than original plastic part

At NRA, I asked a ruger representative if you could shoot both in the mini, he advised all of the minis can shoot both.

All mass produced guns have failures in their history. The question for that trainer is what caused the failure. Stating every failure was the guns fault with no detail on use, environment, etc leave a lot of doubt that there wasn’t other potential reasons. There have been many torture tests with high round counts done on the internet. Personally I haven’t has any issues with the XD/m/elite series of guns. Just as a side note, I typically do not ccw those firearms.

False. Fudds only shoot 1911s, revolvers, bolt action hunting rifles, or double barrel shotguns. AR-15 is a “weapon of war” 🙄

So far I've really enjoyed mine without the issues you've mentioned. About 500 rounds of 50 grain Federal BYOB and a few hundred Punch and Maxi Mags. Misfeeding only a couple times total. I am running an optic as well if that makes a difference. Accurate and I really enjoy the feel. Personally, I wish it had a manual safety but other than that and the newest model having a threaded barrel option available I'm really happy with my purchase especially at a similar sale price to yours.
