@ 14pro actuelly i don’t know if i upgrade to 15pro or 16pro or wait
@janstr2 күн бұрын
I upgraded from the 12Pro, mainly because my battery was terrible after >3.5 years. If you want to upgrade and your battery is still fine, the main selling point, for me at least, would be the apple log shooting mode. Besides that, I don’t think the difference of the camera quality is that big to justify an upgrade.
@LandryFitNutrition2 күн бұрын
@ I am French but what is Apple log shooting mode ? I use the 4k for my vidéos . But yes battery or 14pro is not very cool
@janstrКүн бұрын
Apple Log is a flat color profile that lets you color grade after filming. So it’s only important if you want to color grade your footage.

Very nice shots in low light conditions 👌 Would you recommend this Tamron lens for video use with no ibis A6400? If Tamron's stabilization is not that reliable when zoomed in, maybe the Sony 35mm 1.8 oss prime is a better choice? Brighter, cheaper and much smaller, plus native Sony oss.

What’s up with the magenta tint on the iPhone footage?
@janstrАй бұрын
Yes, it’s even more extreme if you just convert the LOG footage into Rec.709, although you can’t really see it in the LOG. But should be easier to fix in post. I might have forgotten it, or lost an eye for it after countless hours of editing/looking at the footage 😅

I ve a question, i am new to shooting and editing, but when i shoot in Prores log, the output looks too dull (underexposed) it doesn’t look bright, even when converted to rec709, i ve to increase exposure in editing too much, then it looks somewhat good. Why is that so?
@janstrАй бұрын
@@kshitijgaikwad6485 When shooting in Apple ProRes Log, the footage is intentionally captured with a flat, low-contrast, and sometimes slightly underexposed appearance. This is done to maximize dynamic range and retain detail in both the shadows and highlights, creating a “neutral” baseline that preserves as much information as possible. Adjusting the exposure and contrast is a normal step when converting log footage to Rec. 709 and preparing it for final output.

I can see there's jitter when you adjust the focus. Is because of the lens or the camera ? I was thinking of picking up the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 instead, but it doesn't have image stabilization. So I'm really confused
@janstr5 ай бұрын
No, it’s the auto-focus that has a hard time when it’s dark. I switched to manual focus and have no issues since. I‘d recommend to go for a lens with image stabilization, as the in camera stabilization crops in like 15%.
