Yes it is. It’s very pretty, lots of things to do for children and the cruise ship is amazing, they have so many activities for children.

Hello there, thank you for your comment. It’s always better to cruise in the summer months between June and August but if you cruise at the end of September there is a big chance to see the northern lights just like we did but it’s also very cold, foggy, windy and it rains

What a timing? We were there September 1-7 2024. Our cruise ship was celebrity solstice. From Vancouver. We’re from Sydney it’s a long flight going to Vancouver to go for a cruise to Alaska but it’s worth doing. I like Alaska cruising one of my favourite cruising destinations. All the photos of the shore excursions you showed I’ve been all that places. Very interesting. The inside passage is stunning. I’m having a cup of tea while watching your vlog and I’m using a mug I bought in Ketchikan. Thanks for sharing.

Hello There, Thank you for watching our video. We really like Ketchikan and also Skagway. We live in Oregon so we try to do a cruise or 2 to Alaska every year. I hope you get the chance to do another Alaskan cruise soon. We will do a 16 day cruise to Alaska from Seattle and they are including new ports of call of Haines, Wrangell, Icy strait Point, Vancouver, Sitka and Sewer

Is Skagway a good place to just walk around without doing an organized excursion? Can we do private excursions? Are there any excursion booth at the port just like in Juneau?

Hello There, Yes there is so much to do in Skagway. Multiple free museum to see and explore..and a lot of historical buildings in town. If you want to do a private excursion , there is a private tour booth located across the Visitor center . ..thank you for watching our video

Hello Ana, Yes. Every time we come to Alaska which it has been at least 10 or more times in past 10 years, we’ve encountered humpback whales, orcas, harbor seals, eagles, black bears and sometimes mountain goats at glacier bay and Endicott Arm. Thank you for watching our video.

If we don’t book a balcony cabin, can we still see wildlife? Do we need to book a balcony cabin when traveling to Alaska? We usually book interior cabins. Thx

No. Any stateroom will be great. If you like an interior cabin that’s perfectly ok. On this cruise, we booked an interior cabin and we saw a lot of wild animals, just make sure to eat by the windows or outside the World fresh marketplace or just walk on deck 16-17 and you will definitely see some animals..

Hello There, We’ve cruises many times to Alaska maybe 10-11 times and we’ve done the Voyager of the Glaciers that goes from Whittier (Anchorage) to Vancouver (Canada) and we went through multiple glaciers. Our favorite cruise to Alaska is the 7-day inside passage and next year we will do 2 Alaskan cruise a 7-day again and a 16-17 days round trip from Seattle that covers Sitka, Haines , icy Strait Point and Wrangell. That’s going to be an amazing cruise

Hello There, A lot of people find the Princess Premier to be worthy. If you drink a couple of cocktail drinks in the afternoon and some for dinner, it would be worthy because it also gives you free WiFi to a cellphone or laptop, free fitness classes, free desserts, and many more benefits and if you are a moccha or latte person, you can take advantage of the package. But if you are not 100% sure try the Princess Plus, it’s a great package. Thank you for watching our video and I hope you will have a great cruise

Hello. We are planning to take train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu as well. Where do we purchase the tickets to the citadel and the bus from? Did you do a tour for that?

Hello There, Yes we did Machu Picchu and we bought our tickets for Machu Picchu on their website. They have multiple circuits so you have to pick whatever you think it will be suitable for you and your family. You can buy your bus tickets from Aguas Calientes to the top of Machu Picchu online as well on Consettur website. Here is the website for the Machu Picchu tickets www.machupicchu.gob.pe. If for some reason you don’t but the bus tickets you can always buy it onsite but it’s very crowded all the time and it’s much easier to do everything in advanced.

Everything can be purchase online. You could also buy a full tour with a travel agency , they will take car of your transfer from hotel to train station, bus ticket, Machu Picchu tickets and you can add a restaurant after your tour. We’ve done it both ways ..either ways you will have so much fun.

I don’t know about the My aurora app, but the one our naturalist suggested us is “My aurora forecast “ that’s free and I know it’s free because we all used it and it is very handy and accurate. Try that one

In the mornings is a little bit chilly but it’s very hot in the afternoon , especially if the sun is out, so the best thing to do in Cusco is layering ..

Hello, yes some of the food is different as they do have little sandwiches that the World Fresh Marketplace does not have and some of the sweet treats are different. The International Cafe has cheesecake almost every day ..and it’s good

Yes you certainly do. You will hear an officer on your cabin speaker and after that you have some time before going to the upper decks. We saw the aurora boreales for quite some time (at least 20-25 minutes)

Thank you for watching our video. Yes, you can bring any drink you want with you. They will not confiscate it like other cruise lines. I always bring with me my water bottle with water.

Yes they do offer day pass on port days usually …but it is first come first serve , they said they have limited spots but if you get them earlier on your cruise you should be fine.

Sometimes if you wait too long everything is sold out. Especially if it is a very popular cruise. We usually book our cruises just 3-5 months in advanced ..

Thank you for watching our video and yes you can bring your entire family. Since it is late September and classes already started in the US, you will see less children. If you bring your family, children have plenty of activities to do in this cruise. I will show more about the Discovery Camp (children and teenage activity area) on Deck 17 on my next videos…

Yes you definitely can and you should. The security is not like at the airport and if for some reason the cruise wants to see an item inside your luggage they won’t open it unless you open it for them.
