Honestly i already like the series and wish its talked about more but i agree that its being held back from its true potential. With the most recent chapter 27, i really hope it can reach its fullest potential. But honestly to me the series art is amazing i love the designs of all of the monsters they are really unique in my opinion as for story i like it as well and since its still in its early stages technically since julian wants a peaceful life and he found it so he has no reason to get more battle experience or a weapon. Kuramori was fujimotos assistant and as far as i can find he has only done 2 one shots and this is his first series he i think he is also inexperience as well. Hot take maybe: I find this series way easier than jjk sometimes since to me it gets messy so hands being bigger than their heads is a thing i can let slide.

Yeah, this manga is really the best, it has a lot of reflection and makes you really think. As generally a big fan of romcom, those moments of bittersweet romance were so lovely to see. The art is so good and almost all the characters are likable because of their personality. I do hope the best for the author and the manga. About the characters' relationships, For me, the pacing of the story is nice, and I don't blame how it's situated like this. These kinds of conflicts are necessary for romcoms, and about Sunao, I don't blame him as well, since he's just doing things in the goodness of his heart. Sunao loved Lemon before, so he cares for her wellbeing, and he can't just brush her off. He also adores Kogahara for being herself, and thinks he has fallen for her. He's just an innocent guy and I respect him for being so considerate. Also having the side characters affected by this is immersive in itself. I really do want more chapters of this but also think about what will be the better outcome for this manga. I do hope this manga gets popular and gets supported into an oblivion.

I am glad you give manga a chance to grow because a lot of KZbinr who review manga tend to be too harsh from the first chapter. I agree Nues exorcist starts off weak, the panels were difficult to follow, the fight too were difficult to follow, the pacing of dialogue panels was awkward. But they fixed all those problems - Nue's Exorcist improves from Fujino arc and the Nue resurrection arc is another high. - The battle system is surprisingly interesting and detailed, the character development is one of the series strongest points. -All three girls (Shihora, Shitotsu & Kasuza Senpai Suo) get proper attention in development and don't just exist to fill up Gakuros harem. -I love how they deal with nerfing Nue in a way that doesn't feel asspull, as I was worried about the show having a overpowered character. -I am starting to like Gakuro, I hated how he felt like a side character in the beginning, being wimpy and scared of every girl, now, he is looking cool -I love the over use of ink when they illustrate angry or serious characters, it gives the manga it's own grimy unique artstyle -Nues exorcist give of a lot of Bleach vibes, it doesn't do anything new but I love a generic shounen done right and it's doing everything right so far

Your description of how Shonen Jump works sounds like how people who used to work for Nickelodeon described the network higher-ups. Like they go “it’s not as popular as Spongebob yet…CAN IT!”. When will company higher-ups remember that it takes a decent while for series Spongebob or One Piece to get as popular as they are now? I’ve seen some describe this series as “it feels like Grimm was originally gonna be the only main lead, but the editor didn’t want that & wanted more Shonen cliches”. With how strict manga editors can get based on what I’ve heard…I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case. Maybe that’s why the series struggled when it came to writing & connecting with its intended audience… Shame, as the premise looks like it’s got a lot of potential.

Okay I'm just going to say, your analysis is dog sh*t my guy. (Note: This is all my opinion, if anybody else disagrees you can disagree) In the first two minutes you come out with three points the art is cutesy, its way to curvy and the art isn't frightful enough and the second after you literally show the forest monster which IMO is sick as hell and extremely Berserk-esk And i mean i love the art style even though it looks weird in some panels, it has a unique and actually nice looking art style and the "cutesy" looking characters are to obviously clash with the dark tones I do agree with your point about Julian not having a weapon, it makes the fight scenes look kind of slow. But comparing this to Berserk is like comparing a dagger to a long sword, like yeah both can do serious harm but which one can do it faster? I haven't even watched Berserk yet but i already know its a master piece 3:31 , Dude are you okay? why? just why. My all time fav Clamp work and manga overall. My point of view is, Clover is a completed story. We all know it didn’t develop in a normal illustrated logic, but simply separate stories of four leaves, one leaf, two leaves, and three leaves. They had connections and overlap but they are their own stories with different aspects to tell. So for a special setting like this you can’t expect a ‘proper ending’ because all the characters already got their ending in their own stories. It’s just a shame that this work wasn’t carried on to a full movie to showcase the greatness of the script.
