I have the same great turntable, where did you buy your belt drive from, I need to replace mine?
@grumpyandroid14 сағат бұрын
the seller I got it from doesn't have it anymore, but I bought my belt for the numark TT-1700 which is the same turntable with different name. this is the cheapest one I found, but you're welcome to check for yourself on eBay just buy it for the numark TT-1700. this is the link www.ebay.com/itm/124581910683?itmmeta=01J2379KW3Z31BD67AMJJDF0YE&hash=item1d01a9189b:g:h5YAAOxyBLBSCjic&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8Jlpm7aMeKEiz5lB9ikaNHkd%2BAOBY%2B1O7VIy%2FcAlWJxaXhlYZuU2GksT1UE9yqXfjN%2FvNYPYz2G1e%2F1AJVNAJSGYq21ns2BwUrRtjjK0jJkvOcmJYGnkrDR7HY97kdx5dMjooR4HdMt0RL69RVKxRlZi%2FLlnKWhw6H%2BAhMBHDVDvpOu6%2FhCl9M9FYHQ%2B%2Bcgkep0j5L5k1vXaa2NiS5poXLvUwj8Dgch8USlVe28Pv%2BKkccUoKOf35PH7SW67jDC2SXGp5wHCTaT1AafBdVPNEAnwAyI9iWqwUJHnGG4RMjpgNSYGdH01q%2F30YyEIhXiozQ%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5C-pueQZA

Thank you for the video, thanks to you I managed to change the 2 belts of my cassette player, they were stretched. For your information, I bought replacement belts on ebay, they are easily found for this model of Sony hi-fi system (CMT-CP100).

the flywheel looks cracked - perhaps some epoxy bi-component will do the trick. Do you know what motor replacement is for these machines? I saw at least 2 different codes but no luck finding those original codes...

Hello! How can i connect my Toshiba-RT6035 boombox to my phone? It doesn't have RCA. Thanks for the answer.
@grumpyandroid16 күн бұрын
as far as I can remember, you got 2 options with that boombox. 1: through the mic in on the back with an audio cable left and right male mono 3.5 to male stereo 3.5 be aware thou since it's a microphone in, it could get annoyingly loud if you don't control the volume, on both your phone and the boombox, just keep it low. 2 option: a cassette with the audio cable or a bluetooth cassette. hope this helps. I recommend either one of the cassettes cause the cable through mic in some songs are gonna sound stereo and some mono

Maybe you can help me on this problem I have but I have this boombox, but the record function does not record. I have a blank cassette every time I push down on record it just plays the tape instead of recording. How would I fix that?
@grumpyandroid19 күн бұрын
Hello, most of the time the recording key has a lever that pushes down the recording bar activating the recording feature, so maybe the lever is not pushed down the bar correctly, maybe it’s misplaced or broker, so you need to open up the boombox and inspect that. Hopes this helps.
@Dz.glimmer23 күн бұрын
Maybe you can put a new lens. If the diode down there is still there and working. Edit: Well, just found out you did just that! Can't wait for mine to arrive.

And louder. What I like about these boomboxes is that they sound the same way plugged to the wall or with batteries and when you turn it off it doesn’t drain the batteries, I cuts out contact completely

Hi, I have the JVC KD D3. A small spring fell out of the mechanism and it does not play. I don't know where it should be attached. When I press play the rewind seems to get activated as well. Do you have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
@user-iv3in2ou3p2 ай бұрын
One of our cheap solution back in the time was to drip the thing in a glass of trichloroethylene to make the rubber ring to adhere again. This is way better than abrasive paper.
@gabrieleorioli17602 ай бұрын
The motor might need a bit of very light mineral oil in its bearings, then I recommend checking the mechanism for dried grease blobs, cracked gears, the spool clutches and possibly the little rubber idler in the back. Your boombox might sound way better than this. Try some different belt diameters too, as the tension can impact the wow and flutter measurement. Have a nice day :)

I was here when this junk came out. I don't miss the vintage days one bit. Crap back then and landfill in 2024 as they should be. Subscribed from Australia.

excellent. I remember my first walkman I was in the zone listening to my Bryan Adams cassette and then it happened , it chewed up the tape right in the middle of "everything I'd do" so I took my tape out and smashed the walkman to pieces on the pavement. saw all the parts flying all over in slow motion

Seriously! I’m still one of those guys trapped in the past. I miss pushing buttons on a Walkman, touching and smelling records, cassettes, cds, reading the lyrics or stories on the inserts while you listen to your music. I’m just like that and will never change.

1:17 Amusing: "Was this kind of packaging wrapped in the 80s?" No. The wrapping we know today began in the late 90s, and only for certain brands. For Panasonic which was quite a "semi-budget/middle class" type of brand there was no wrappping obvioulsy. Cardboard+styrofoam, that's all what you got, no fancy unboxing in these times and no unboxing videos. 😀 When you play the cassette: Well it's what we call "lo-fi", at least (or rubbish) No, it doesn't sound good at all for a cassette player. 🙂. In real life with a good player, even a portable one, cassettes sound can be light-years better, fortunately!
