Same here, the chute was out of adjustment ( alignment) throwing snow at some angle - not straight forward. Lucky to find this video. Thanks a lot from Canada.

I have the same tote for my plumbing tools and it's excellent. I use a Veto TP XL for my house tool bag but wish I had gone for the medium/ 12" version of this tote instead...Did you know that the drill holster (or any of the other pouches) can be clipped on the ends of the tote? You can put a mounting clip over those large circular "gromits" that are on the end panels...

Try putting the fuzzy side of velcro strips along the areas that touch.... that should help a little. Thank you for your honest review.

I agree. And every time I brought it into the house I was bouncing it off walls and furniture. It held a ton, but wasn’t as portable as I would have liked. I’ve since moved to a smaller, lighter Milwaukee Packout bag.

Great review. I have one as well...only paid 390 for it (found it on Jegs). Mine is not as noisy...but I agree, they could be made better.
@EricLakin Жыл бұрын
That's a good price. I ended up pulling it out and selling it. The small Milwaukee Packout toolbox fits perfectly under the driver side, and the packout tray fits under the other side. And they are quiet!
@jacknsaav Жыл бұрын
@@EricLakin I'll need to check that option out...I have and like the packout system. The whole reason I went with this drawer was because I have a car seat for my grandson and didn't want to have to pull it out every time I wanted something out of the drawer. I did a review on the drawer as well (with my grandson)...click through and give it a watch if you like (I was nicer, but had not really road tested it before doing the review)

Thanks for the video it game me the push I needed to fix the chute alignment that was not straight from the factory by moving the chute gear one notch counterclockwise. There is to much play in these plastic gears.

Any ideas on how to change out the chute control box? The plastic front piece broke off, I have the replacement parts (you have to replace both the front and back of the box) and can't find any instructions on how to get the back piece off and replace it.

Dang pretty poor design on this product from them, and they’ve been producing truck boxes and accessories for a long time now. I’d just put some rubber shims in between on both the wall and drawer so that it stops it see if that would work
@EricLakin2 жыл бұрын
I did try some shims, but they didn't stay in place as the drawer moved in and out. I also tried some rubber tape with the same result. I think if the thing was made from the same plastic as their trailer tongue boxes it might be a great product. If it was built right with ball bearing slides it would be an amazing product. Wonder if they are watching this convo!

after you reattach the good section: use 2" wide eternabond RV tape to wrap about 2 lineal ft of the hose (with the fragile area in the middle of that 18"). the non ribbed portion of hose is not particularly strong, as you've discovered; make sure that the eternabond has bonded to that non-ribbed portion. when they say "eterna" they are not joking
@billzaferatos22562 жыл бұрын
PVC tape from Lowes. I get it outside in lawn and garden section where the pipe is located. It's really sticky and stretchy. Put that hose together and start about 4 inches from the rip just pull as you wrap the tape. It will form perfectly around the ribs of the hose. I have a Dr leaf vac. It doesn't have the 2 point hitch and the house from the deck to the impeller moves back and forth when turning. IT'S A CONSTANT PROBLEM. The patch by the impeller hasn't failed but the patch at the deck adapter just failed after about 8 uses. But it only separated shit an inch. I just repatched it will no issues using it today.

Aka pipe tape, plumbers tape, pipe wrap tape etc. Great stuff, better hope you don’t need to get it back off whatever you wrapped up with it!

I’ve had the Classic for a long time…( well over 10 years ) I also purchased the vacuum attachment…and yes, the suction is pretty impressive…I’ve had no issues with that “ green” hose ….except for the weight and awkwardness of the “head” I’ve asked them to maybe offer a smaller diameter hose/ head …say 4 inches in diameter…with all that suction, it would still get the job done…apparently they do not think there would be a market for it…wait till you get older and start carrying and hose and attachment around….my issue is with the two pin mounting plate holes…after a couple of years, the holes started to elongate. I welded two 3/8 thick washers to “ beef” up that mounting plate…still continuing to elongate those two pin holes …..the two pins obviously hardened, show very little wear…I’m not sure if the made any design changes with that mounting plate? would I purchase another one of these ….Absolutely! I’m sorta well over 70, so hopefully this will outlast me ….
@EricLakin2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, wrestling those hoses around can be a chore. I have not seen wear in the mounting plate but I'll watch for it. I guess I'm 5 years in right now. Most recent problem is that Briggs 6.5 no longer wants to start when it is hot. That's new this year, even with oil change, filter change, and new plug. 30 pulls at least to get it started again, which is wearing me out as much as dragging the hoses.

I have had the very same problem with mine and it gets pretty sloppy as far as the cart moving from side to side instead if holding still.

When just vacuuming up the leaves (versus coming from a mower) does the Cyclone still chop up the leaves much?
@EricLakin2 жыл бұрын
Not really. The 5 blade impeller probably chops them up a little just due to its speed, but it doesn't mulch them up as much as when they go through the mowing deck first.
@M.TTT.3 ай бұрын
it mulches them at least 50% if not more, I have the 4 blade impeller. I blew all the leaves into a large pile, 6 or so yards, (as in the measurement), and turned it into maybe 2 or 3 yards max. I only used the blower, suction hose, and upper elbow so I could blow the pile higher into a large compost bin, rather than trying to dump loads out of the trailer. Edit: my leaves were mostly maple, sugar, red and norway - with maybe 15% ash or oak and miscellaneous. The latter 15% are tougher to mulch up.

how does it work with the 3 point hitch when you raise and lower your mower deck what happens to the rake connection
@EricLakin2 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t seem to have any effect at all. Because it does not pivot at the hitch it only changes a little bit vertically. It never pulls on the hose.

They told me when I got mine that the turf wheels weren't as good while using the bucket as the trenches type wheels mine came with. And was hoping to get a quik hitch but only have a sprayer but am thinking about making a carryall box for the 3 point And I totally freaked out mowing when 2 times a stick was lodged in between the blade and deck, stopping the mower completely. Luckily it didn't bend anything. It's scary powerful though if mowing and you hit something. It will literally push clean through anything compared to my troybilt that I replaced which eould bump and splay the front tires. I'm happy with mine but wary when watching the bucket and framework lurch no problems yet and was completely surprised at the power when digging or anything and love the 4wd And I'm glad they came with 4ft bucket instead of all the others with 5ft. I can sneak through stuff with the 4ft. And it digs easier I believe. I didn't hear anyone with a 5ft say they could dig with them without teeth attachments. MIne digs just fine. But nothing will mow as smooth as my troybilt. But my 6ft mower cuts my mowing time by about 45 minutes....so yeah a sacrifice but I'm still working with tweaking it. So maybe juuuust maybe I'll get close to my troybilt. Later🤷
