I think the combat looks faster than what the original vini had. Maybe not as fast as the current game but the vanilla, this is faster.

i'm liking it so far. i need to show this to a friend of mine. though i want more lann. >:v was a lann main though did enjoy playing karok and kai when they were out. then uhh the chick version of lann and i know she has a name just not in the mind atm. x_X

they better not make it pure graphical but rather more on mechanics, the graphics is already good on its own. hopefully more mechanics and more sandbox feeling

I really hope they can make the areas big, and reduce loadscreens, or remove them completly / hide them with elevators, doors, etc The engine can definitely handle it, so my only guess is AI limitation OR they trying to keep the system requirements to a minimum.

For what it's worth: Too much stagger. At least upon normal/light attacks. Easy stagger-> easy mob -> farming simulator -> incentiviseing pay2win- which is a viable business strat if they want to cannibalize player base from og vindi. A quick cash grab scheme with little scalability down the road. OR, they can trust the genius of their fighting mechanics. I believe this game has the makes to join ranks of genre defining pieces like CS, DOTA, Street Fighter. Pre-Rise Vindi has such gold game play. Spear, chain, palala, bombs and class specific perks that super incentivise party play while maintaining solo completion as a viable option (accompanied with bragging rights). Dark souls has paved the road. Vindi has god tier boss difficulty progression. It's actually genius. Vindi can sustain w/o cash grab scheme. /rant

I just realized whatever this new project/sequel is probably won't have my main on launch (Grimden main here) so I'm probably screwed if it's just a focus on the original trio.

Looks like a mashup of Perilous Ruins/Hilder Forest and Hoarfrost Hollow/Depths. Can't wait for a look at a revamped Ainle! I'm hoping the 2-weapon system makes a return too. E.g. Fiona with Longsword/Hammer, Lann with Twin Swords/Spears, Evie with Staff/Scythe, etc. I'm a Scythe Evie main and it's largely the reason I love this game so much. So much style and satisfaction in snapping things away...

I hope this time is not going to be a P2W even when we make our character that was stupid in the first one

Just found out, never expected this, it looks gorgeous.

Can't wait till they release Evie 🥰 They kept a similar animation for combat too (Fifi's LLLLR Amaranth Kick for example), especially important as I still believe Vindictus to have the best combat system, even when compared to single-player games of this generation. Hoping they keep Scythe Evie's elegant dance-like moveset and of course the snaps... imagining all that in UE5 glory... What a time to be alive 🤯

Its not open world. Confirmed by the FAQ. But the zones will work more like monster hunter. Going to "perilous ruins" (that looks very diferent) you will have a huge map, instead of small areas connected by loadscreens. And they are clearly expansive

i've always said games like BDO and others were Vindictus clones. Vindictus was the 1st true action mmo/rpg online. the only thing that kept Vin back was that it was hub-based and always in a free to play ' beta ' stage. It's shame bc Vin was ahead of the game when it was in its prime and Nexon to me drop the ball. Don't know how many times i drag mobs to the edge of the Pit O' Death and screaming this is SPARTA!! as i kick the everloving crap out of them lmfao...ahhh the memories. I will see what they have in store. I tried a while ago to retrieve my old Nexon account. I think the last time i played, Kai was the newest character....that's been awhile. TBLann 4Life

oooh yeah i'm hype just as much as anyone that has played vindictus since 2010. it wasn't out till 2010 but you said 2008? maybe KR I guess unless you mistaken the year time when it was released. I don't think the game will be open world entirely? maybe a bigger landscape when doing the dungeons and what not but I don't know and I hope to get into the alpha testing.

I played Vindictus a lot. Never got too good at it, but it was a blast. The dragon raids were awesome.

Nexon is so wierd for holding this IP and not giving it support outside Korea, so many people should be playing Vindictius over some of the other shoveled put every month or so. I hope dedicated servers are a thing day 1, and options to buy more cosmetics with ingame currency.

It looks like BDO graphically now but with actually good combat. Finally after all these years of waiting. Too bad I'm almost dead IRL. Shame. Have fun!
