I spent countless hours maintaining 4138 along with a great group of Airmen. I also remember the Lt Colonel on left and spending time with them over at the 729th.

@@JoshuaNyhus basically was getting gas at Atlantic FBO as apparently the price is right at LGB. This rare bird has gassed up at LGB a few times then returned home to Mojave.

The most advanced airliner when introduced 50(!) Years Ago...and still quite advanced to this day. And this is 100% LOCKHEED-MARTIN designed and built aircraft. 😎

This is the only airworthy one left. There is the "Tristar Experience" aircraft too, which is "somewhat active", but it's not qualified for an actual flight

@@Capt.Umber_Raina It sure as heck is! I'll never forget my first ride on a Delta L-1011 from MIA to ORD in 1975. I was stunned at how large and quiet the cabin was to anything I've flown before. I instantly knew it was groundbreaking!
