In begining ARM is RISC architrcture, so it can be efficient. But now the instructions grow, so it is not RISC anymore. Your knowledge of processor architecture is not accurate. You must be research first. Are you high school student?

X86 and ARM chips will be replaced by RiscV chips;no license fees so profits for manufacturers will soar far beyond ARM and x86. RiscV already emulates x86, will probably add arm emulation if x86 not enough. Already runs Linux, BSD and RTOS and RiscV chips can do image recognition and processing for < $10… You probably have RiscV in your fondleslabs already, it’s already used as the microcontroller in many consumer electronics subsystems.

Not really all that true. When it comes to mobile systems. Like laptops and tablets. Then yes it is most likely. But on the desktop side we are still going to see x86 for years to come. And also there are probably a lot of people. That still use x86 systems. Like a lot of my systems are still x86. X86 is not going to be that easily replaced by arm. And by a lot I mean mostly all. The only arm device I own is my iPhone. Either then that it’s mostly x86.

x86 architecture will never go away, even if ARM gets so powerful it can run x86 programs at full speed under emulation. If you want more proof, there are Fortune 500 companies still running COBOL programs because the code is too complex and costly to convert.

All the percentages were incorrect in one way or other ... starting with Windows (0:89) I worked out that the number is an average of all the years shown (2018 to 2023 inclusive). Windows is about right (60.83%) but where Windows was rounded UP to 61%, macOS (44.83%) was rounded DOWN to 44%, then Linux (actually 47%) was reported as 40% ... wtf! I just thought of something else too ... there's nothing to stop a programmer using MORE THAN ONE operating system =)
