I work at a ford dealership and we throw away a lot of parts. A lot of the cases warranty companies are told X, Y and Z need to be replaced but they don’t. We end up with good parts we don’t want to keep around so we toss them. I’ve thrown out a brand new valve body for a 8F35. Once even junked an entire rear and out of a F150 when all it needed was the diff to be rebuilt.
