I have never had the pleasure to see Tommy live but there's nothing on KZbin of him I haven't seen. All his collaborations and his kindness to all his admirers. This man is without a doubt one of the finest guitar players to have ever lived in any time. A true student of the instrument. I have played guitar since I was 5 years old and although I don't consider myself a professional guitar player by any means I can play a lot of different styles. I've been asked by many friends over the years why I don't play professionally. It's simple just like a prize athlete you have to know your limitations. Trust me when I say this man has no limitations. I've watched him improvise and work his way through some very complex impromptu situations with other artists. I grew up with Chet, Merle and Reed. Over the years I've enjoyed everyone from SRV to Johnny Smith. Bought dozens of guitars to emulate their sound. Hats off to this gentleman. In my humble and honest opinion the best there is.

Nice performance - great tone on a beautiful composition by Pat Metheny - likely Lyle Mays. We play alot of their music. What guitar are you playing? I like tuning down to C. A great guitarist turned me onto that. John Stowell. C to C.

Thanks for listening! Last Train Hone, Wichita etc. tuning from low to high is DGDGBE - sometimes the low string is dropped to a C, a lot of the others are in standard 😎

@@spnhm34 haha yes of course, the guitars are all set up great, I have to make adjustments every fall and spring on some but I haven’t had time so I did it during the episode- so that’s what I mean by it’s the operator - I should have taken care of it, plus I didn’t tune the other guitars because I was only planning on playing the classical for the whole episode!
