What I learned in this video is that accounting is intimidating, I get that this video is just the gist of what will be in store for me for future lessons and other things. Through this video, I knew what would be the importance of accounting in my future life, because back then I would often disregard the thought of studying accounting because I would not take it shortly, but through this video, it showed me that even if I will not be taking up accounting in the future it would still be a big help in my part. It took me a lot of time to conclude that I will choose the ABM strand, instead of STEM. ABM can be a lot of things when you don't have any insights in regards to that strand but for sure, it will surprise you, just like ACCOUNTING. Accounting is the procedure for documenting business-related financial transactions. Proper financial record-keeping is essential for the success of any business. All businesses need to implement a well-organized accounting system that tracks and records financial transactions accurately. Choosing ABM will be the same intense as choosing the other strand, but your experience can be different compared to the rest of them.

What I have learned is, first, Accounting is a significant part of every business because not only does it help the internal body of a company to keep track of its financial status, and evaluate them to make wise decisions that, of course, will benefit the company, it also helped the external users such as investors in choosing the right company to buy stocks, lenders like individuals or banks to know whether they can pay off the money they borrowed, and the government in giving the right amount of tax to the business. Second, I learned that although it deals with numbers; it does not require deep knowledge of mathematics. An accountant needs to be good at organizing to provide accurate and up-to-date financial records, analyzing every problem, financial transaction, and situation that a company might encounter because there are various problems a company might face, and English comprehension skills since the problems you will encounter while studying Accounting are using English. Every student/accountant needs to have this skill because even with just a one-word change in a problem, it may change the entire problem itself. Last, a teacher already taught this to me when I was in junior high school, that in businesses, it has three business organizations such as sole proprietorship, partnership, and corporation. I have learned that since they differ from each other, therefore it also has different accounting procedure for computing and analyzing. But before anything else, a business is not only limiting you to selling products, but it may also operate as a service, merchandising, or manufacturing business. To sum up, this has helped me better understand accounting. As an ABM student that wants to build my business in the future, this made me realize that without the proper knowledge of accounting even when it was my business, it will be challenging to solve problems that my company may/will encounter.

Moving forward, what could be the importance of accounting? Business related or self-satisfactory related, accounting can benefits both of them: in spending, it is indeed that tracking is really important, why? That is to determine on how much we actually spend on our needs and wants, with that we will able to realize if are we still on track or not. With that, we can make a certain if we should control what we doing or continue the same flow of our financial pursuit. It is also mentioned in the video about one of Accounting's most said: “Accounting? Madali lang 'yan! Plus, minus, times ka lang d'yan!”, which actually made me realize that indeed basic mathematics are needed in here, however, still in my perspective, Accounting is depth than we view to: it is wider than we think, and larger than our naked eyes sees. Why? For the reason of needed the Organizing Skill of an individual for a coherent interpretation considering that Accounting is a systematic way of recording of financial statements; Analyzing Skill since each one needed to understand what are indicated in each problem; and lastly is English Comprehension since the problems are mostly written in that language which also needed to digest each of the given questions. Aside from that, it also mentioned the three (3) business organizations and their differences: sole proprietorship wherein a firm is only run by a one person; partnership wherein run by two (2) owners who are both responsible for any operations; and corporation wherein run by a large number or people but divides the ownerships of each of them. Knowing the differences of these are important since they have different ways of how we will use Accounting on these. On the last part, it also bring up the three (3) business operations which actually recalls the lessons that I acquired a knowledge of. In conclusion of that, Accounting can be found hard to learn to or easy to understand - depending in our frame of mind. Like any other field, Accounting do have a lot or terminologies to learn to, but still it plays a vital role in individual, society, and our world. As long as we are committed to learn, we will going to have the advantage to ace this through.

As an ABM student who plans to take accountancy in the future, this video gave me an idea of what's happening in the accounting world. It also gives me an idea of the skills needed in this field and the importance of them in the business world. A fundamental and crucial component of every organization is accounting. Analyzing accounting data gives business owners the option to evaluate the overall efficacy and efficiency of their operational processes. Financial statements that have been created can be compared to industry standards to assess how well a business is performing in this area. In general, accounting is more than just numbers. I was assuming a more complicated definition of Accounting. I learned the simplified meaning of Accounting after watching this video. Accounting is just keeping track of all of your money. Accounting is a method of documenting and recording information to determine if a business or company is successful and to gather essential data that can be used to make decisions that will benefit the business or company. It keeps track of what you own and what you owe. Accounting also requires specific talents, such as organization, analysis, and English understanding. I figured out that the list of financial transactions of a business, company, or corporation is too much for a person to thoroughly analyze, that is why it is listed and the language used is Accounting for an easier way to understand a business, company, or corporation's financial state.
