@@brockbilafishingI have had issues with mine getting hung in my guides, other than that its super strong. Just trying to trouble shoot that last issue
@adstrossКүн бұрын
@codycampbellfishing2007 make sure you cut the fluorocarbon tag end as close as possible to the knot. If there is a tag end hanging out it will catch really badly. The tag end of the braid doesn’t matter as much since it’s super flimsy. Also, if you’re using heavy braid it will make the knot bulkier. For my heavy braid to leader setups I like an FG knot a lot more as it’s quite a bit thinner. Much more difficult to tie, but with practice it’s not bad.

Most people use these to fill up a cooler. There's a smaller chute to the right the sends out a prepackaged ice bag.

You failed, never put a steel prop on your out drive or lower unit. Use carbon fiber or other like prop. If you use a steel prop, and hit something, not only will you damage the prop, you damage the lower unit transmission. What’s more expensive? Drive or prop?
@brockbilafishing5 ай бұрын
Steel props come standard on 250 ProXS’s, I threw and ear and did not hit anything. The gear case/prop shaft was completely fine!
@Asscofoldcrows5 ай бұрын
@@brockbilafishing That prop is all for show. I am just giving you my more than 50 years experience as a master class captain and owner. Believe me, you will save lots of money. Have you thought that maybe whoever sold you that boat is expecting for you to damage your gear by mounting, as you say, ‘standard’ props? The answer; they tell you they are ‘standard’, when they are not. Props are personal choices! I am not saying this without experience. When I was growing up in Florida as a kid, my parents owned medium and large sized motor yachts. I chipped a few skegs and broke props too. No big deal if it breaks off easy.
@criticalthinker4945 ай бұрын
@Asscofoldcrows That honestly makes sense for protecting your lower unit .What is the lifespan on those props you recommend? Did you carry a spare to swap them out if you ever hit something submerged?
