Her performance as a 'background' singer w/ Nicolette Larson on Neil Young's Long May You Run is completely stunning.

Black in the nineties I saw her as a Background Singer with Nicolette Larson in a Neil Young Show in Germany. I'm not sure, but I think Neil was playing withBooker T & the MGs.

I love she says Neil was no big thing back in the early 70's when she was in High School because it was cool to be into Black Sabbath and Deep Purple...

She's actually Neil's half sister--not that credits or discredits her in any way.

OMG! You lucky, lucky person! I am completely envious! Good for you, Tom. I've been lucky enough to see him live many, many times over the 53 years I've loved him. But I haven't been creative or clever or just lucky enough to have met him yet. Got close 3 times. Got REALLY close once. I met CSN after 35yrs of trying, so I am not giving up. I admit I am jealous of you. No, kidding. Way to go Tom. I'll probably just open my mouth, scream " OMG, its YOU!" , and faint after peeing on myself anyway. Yeah, he'll remember that I'm sure! Ha!

One thing I've never been able to figure out. Maybe someone out there knows. I thought I knew EVERYTHING about my man, but this makes me go " hmmmmm?" Neil named his daughter Amber, after his sister, who's name is Astrid. Hello. Anybody. Anybody out there got a clue? I've read every word the man has ever written and I'll be damned if I can figure this one out. It took me 45 yrs to find out who nicknamed Neil "Bernard Shakey", so I guess you could call me tenacious. I WILL figure it out. Someday......

I think she sounds just like him, but higher, clearer, sweeter. The phrasing and intonations are exactly like Neil's. I always thought Astrid was way cool, from the first time I saw her with Neil, way way back in time. I've been Neil's girl since I was 12. I'm 65 now. I'm also WICCAN, and I'm pretty sure Astrid is too. Majorly talented lady. Love her.

Asperger's syndrome is on the autism spectrum. It's too bad that potential employers look at the disability of the person and not the ability of the person. Accessible Media Incorporated (AMI) aired a Canadian series on television that I watched called "Employable Me", that was based on the original English series of the same name. This series showcased people with unique talents, who got employed in Ontario and parts of Britain. Unfortunately the Canadian series on television didn't focus on Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia is the second worst place in Canada, for unemployment. This is very depressing. There isn't as many resources as in Ontario. The money is that is being spent, has been spent on other things. I wish that some government in Canada would come through for people who are gifted. Instead, people with these special talents are forced to do jobs that aren't especially challenging or enjoyable. This isn't just in Nova Scotia. Other parts of Canada have it bad as well. Having government funding cut, hasn't helped. Maybe it's time to move to the United States of America, because the economy is much better there than it is in Canada. I'm at a loss.

Can't believe you're gone. 5 months before this concert I was in a coma and had a 50% chance of living. I made it through and when I walked into the concert I was still recovering and very shell-shocked by all that happened to me. After that concert I walked out so much stronger. Tom Petty means a heck of a lot to me. This really hurts. Rest in Music. It's good to be king <3

Hi, Patricia, as you say, there's a need for stories about autism spectrum being told by autistic people. There's actually one, but on spanish, Sho-shan y la Dama Oscura (Sho-shan and the Dark Lady), by mexican writter Eve Gil, diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (although the first two books of the saga were written before she knew she has Asperger's and the protagonist is based on her younger daughter, who has an uncertain diagnostic -when the first book was published she had been diagnosed with Asperger's, actually she has a diagnostic of atypical autism). It's not yet translated on english although it has a movie.

Wow, she looks very Scandinavian and pretty I think. I believe her mother was though, so it makes sense. I see a bit of Scott Young in her too though. If Neil had a full-blooded sister, she'd look a lot darker haired than this haha. When she was in a glam metal band, she must've been really hot to trot!
