I try not to stereotype when meeting someone new. It might create awkwardness or embarrassment.

I am not a manic pixie dream girl. I am not manic, I have never been bipolar. I am not a pixie, I am taller than average. Whether I am someone’s dream is subjective. People like cookie cutter and stereotypical more and you fit that better than I do. Girl is also subjective. I present as non binary in school. You know, like wearing business casual. I don’t think people register me as a girl. And that’s exact what I’m going for.

Racist or not, I 100% think like this at an airport. Avoid kids, avoid old people and you know the races (most likely to cause scenes)... follow the Asians... who are fast, efficient, and God bless em' they'll wear masks (COVID or not) when they're sick.

Stereotypes are exactly that.... a survival concept that allows us to make quick decisions based on generalizations. If we had to evaluate individually on each person around us we would NEVER do anything.

That kind of thinking is exactly why there's division in our world. And there will always be people who defy stereotypes.
