Why is it that everytime I see Kickboxer/Muay Thai fighters spar Boxers, the kickboxer are not allowed to throw kicks. The boxer is able to use all of his weapons, but kickboxers an Muay Thai practitioners are only allowed to punch? I feel that this is a big mistake for kickboxers/Muay Thai fighters to restrict themselves just to make a boxer feel comfortable. If boxers are scared of being kicked then they shouldn't have they're asses in the ring with someone from a different martial art🤔🤔🤔. No cap just Facks

This is just training for the kickboxer to be a greater boxer since he can use his hands in the ring. If a boxer fought in a kickboxing sparing he won't learn nothing from it since he can't use his feet in the boxing ring anyway. It's just harder training for the kickboxer to make him better if anything.

What training benefit does that yield for either fighter? What does the kickboxer learn? That their kicks work against people who aren’t trained in defending kicks? Why not just put a kickboxing novice in there instead? The kickboxer has experience in dealing with punches, and can defend against punches. They gain valuable experience for their field working with someone specialized in hand striking. The boxer gains nothing by getting kicked repeatedly.

@@carlosandres1835 that’s actually not as severe a disadvantage as you’d think. A lot of boxers could manage with only their lead hand. Certainly not as big a disadvantage as taking away a kickboxer’s kicks.
