If a deer leaps out at those speeds, you're probably gonna have to have your spleen removed. That is, if you can catch your breathe after the wind is knocked out of you. I think you better slow down when youre on a road where you can't see to the right or left of the road. Please be careful.

To be honest it doesn't make any sense that premium would have less ethanol. Unless otherwise stated unleaded gas can not contain more than 10% ethanol. At least as it stands today ethanol is cheaper than gas so most gas stations are probably at that 10% limit when it comes to ethanol for all unleaded grades.

I don’t really like ethanol at all yes it helps the water mix in but it is hygroscopic meaning it pulls in water from the air. Gas is hydrophobic meaning it repels water in my old carburetor bike I just opened up the bowl and drained out the water after storing it for the winter and yes taking out some of the ethanol gives it a slightly lower octane rating

@@denisz2594 oh that's ok.... RE announced the firsts 650s in Brazil for 2020, and since the rebel is making the 650s not sell as much in some countries, I'd expect Honda to create the same competition here. The market in brazil is very shy for custom&classic motorcycles and Honda is the best seller by far (very closed market) but Honda doesn't even need to be good as it's that famous and without competition. We'll have the biggest Brazilian motorcycle events with all the brands confirmed but total silence from honda and rebel in brazil. I really enjoy the RE history and the product interceptor 650 but if I had the chance I'd go for the rebel, way cooler, rockier, way more my style.

I bought one for my re-entry bike after a 30 yr. hiatus. Just the right size with enough useful power. The seat is my only gripe, it's far too hard for my bony 73 y/o butt.( already replaced the seat) I wouldn't recommend it for two up riding. Will be getting a tourer after I feel I'm totally comfortable on two wheels again, but this will remain my town bike.

The bikes computer is made to run on 87. Ethanol is indeed bad for engines, but you can find that many places sell 87 ethanol free gasoline. Using 91 isn't going to give you any noticeable difference, because since the computer is programmed to run on 87, it'll make up for any changes in the fuel type to give you the same performance. These are computer controlled, fuel injected bikes.

You've got to help me out with this one. I'm a brand new rider. I finished the MSF course having previously knowing nothing before the course. I purchased a Vulcan S, but I crashed it the day leaving the dealership. It was too much bike for me, and I'm still recovering. I don't want to give up on riding, but I don't want another trip to the hospital. Is the Rebel 300 sufficient enough for me or should I get a Rebel 500? I will be riding it in Southern California and may be doing highway riding to get to work. I am 5'6" and weigh about 220 lbs.
@denisz25946 жыл бұрын
Chris Ciak Sorry to hear that man. I'm glad your back up and riding again. Do the 500. The engine responds much lighter than the Vulcan and it's enough power to ride on the highway. Hope that helps.

I'm looking for a bike for a daily commuter. But I'm torn between this or a fz07. Two different bikes. Two parts of my personality conflicting. I think the rebel is winning. It just looks so good and for lane splitting i think it should do just fine. I had a 82' gs750 as a first bike and I love the power. So that's where the fz07 lingers in my mind.

Dont get the rebel, you ll just trade it in for a bigger bike within a year, grab a sportster, bolt, or scout if you want a low seat light weight bike with power that will keep you happy for life. I would pick the scout personally, but you get lots of options with the different types of sportsters, and the bolt is nice and cheap and they look pretty good too.

When I was having driving lessons here in Germany, the first thing I learned was to properly listen to the engine and feel it's power for shifting and use my eyes for more important stuff. So at least that's not a problem for me, but the uncomfortable seat might be as I'm looking into long cruises but prefer the agility of an allrounder. Are there already alternative Seats on the market because that seemed to be the only issue so far, otherwise it looks like the perfect beginner bike for me.
