Congrats guys on the great content, loving your style. I was actually in Puglia at the same time as you and it was wonderful, we stayed in the region for a month and could have even stayed longer. You mentioned Monopoli - it had a bigger town vibe than Polignano a Mare, and was only a 5 minute train away (1 stop). Brilliant place with lots to see. Lecce & Alberobello also magnificent.

It has been like that for a long time, mainly because waste disposal services often fall in the wrong hands (organised crime). Palermo has the same problem. Napoli though is by far my favourite city in the world.

The creator of this museum is a master of psychology. The majestic scenery of the outside area displaying weapons, equipment, tanks, and planes, etc is in completely contrast to the horrifying images of their destruction to the human body, genetics, the environment, etc. inside. Visitors entering and leaving are two completely different people (enlightened, with the same bell ringing for peace).

Lasagna is not the most typical for southern Italy (better order it in Bologna) but usually it’s on the less meatier, more tomatier side :) and bread is supposed to be used to clean up the sauce after you finished your pasta! And orecchiette is pronounced O-ray-kee-at-the ;)

We tried lasagna in Bologna and it was amazing! Definitely loved the orecchiette, as I've never had that before! Thanks for the pronunciation correction - I was mispronouncing things all across Italy hahaha 😅
