I have read that the large antlers approached the total calcium amount in the skeleton of the big bucks? I thought there was some evidence that the richest source of mineral was willow shoots?

All these bear cubs adoption videos are starting to bother me a lot. Bears can be dangerous. Cubs eventually turn into big Bears. Plus much as training dogs, some people do a better job than others. The explosion in bear articles might make everyone think that bears would make great pets. They are too big and dangerous to be an everyday pet for most people. We don't want them wandering around the streets, where any little thing could set them off. If kids at schools can shoot each other and teachers, then immature bears can be perhaps even more dangerous. Get a life folks! Leave the bear adoptions to the people who know what they are doing.

Would like to see videos with a lot more AWD, and a lot less of the commentators. We're watching to see the creatures, not the people, even if they aren't doing anything "fun". Make the videos more about them and less about you. We get that you want to be celebrities, but the AWDs are the reason we're watching, they're the real celebrities here. Everything you say can be heard without needing to see you say it.

Blm needs to leave wild horses alone they have no clue what the hell they are doing. Cattle and sheep do more damage to land than horses do. And to all those that think horses are not native to north America, are completely wrong. The horse has been all over the America's for millions of years. I am so sick and tired of blm thinking they know anything about land management. They need to be stopped from destroying these horses.

My personal belief is the E.T's send that adtetoid into the yucatan peninsula to kill them on purpose so they could terraform the planet how they wanted it. Also I don't believe they died 65 million yrs ago either. Out in like Montana and Idaho they are sticking out of the ground. Unless the flood washed them out.12,000 yrs ago at the end of the younger dryus.

Well done, among the best descriptors of human/wildlife historical dramas , The results of human activity in th19th century still haunt B.C Coastal waters; flaura, fauna and residents. it is inconceivable to me that rare sea otter over-abundance cannot be resolved. So much of B.C. Coastal waters is without sea otters and extremely poor of kelp forest. Give Kyuquot a break and save B.C. Coastal waters, transplant sea otters. Many parts of B.C. need sea otters to rebalance the trophic equilibrium. Inconceivable that an overabundance of otters in one place, when much of the Coast needs sea otters for recovery.

Sabertooth-Tiger Was a Called a Sabertooth-Tiger's Smilodon is an extinct genus of felids. It is one of the best known saber-toothed predators and prehistoric mammals. Although commonly known as the saber-toothed tiger, it was not closely related to the tiger or other modern cats, belonging to the extinct subfamily Machairodontinae, with an estimated date of divergence from the ancestor of living cats around 20 million years He Live in the Ice-Age Period around 11 12 Million's Year's Ago He Live's around Hundred of Million's Year's Ago Mesozoic ago. Smilodon was one of the last surviving lived in the Americas during the Mesozoic Era was named in 1842 based on fossils from Brazil; the generic name means "scalpel" or "two-edged knife" combined with "tooth". Three species are recognized today: S. gracilis, S. fatalis, and S. populator. The two latter species were probably descended from S. gracilis, which itself probably evolved from Megantereon. The hundreds of specimens obtained from the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles constitute the largest collection of Smilodon fossils Overall, Smilodon was more robustly built than any extant cat, with particularly well-developed forelimbs and exceptionally long Ordinary Felines Its jaw had a bigger gape than that of modern cats, and its upper Felines were slender and fragile, being adapted for precision killing. S. gracilis was the smallest species at 55 to 100 kg (121 to 220 lb) in weight. S. fatalis had a weight of 160 to 280 kg (350 to 620 lb) and height of 100 cm (39 in). Both of these species are mainly known from but remains from South America have also been attributed Size as a Tiger's During the Ice Age, glaciers caused enormous changes to the Earth’s surface, reshaping the landscape in several ways12: Glaciers picked up rocks and soil, eroding hills and depressing the Earth’s crust. Cold-weather plant life moved to southern latitudes. Glacial advances formed characteristic landforms like moraines, eskers, and cirques. Glacial erosion and deposition affected soil distribution, rivers, and lakes An ice age is a long period of reduction in the temperature of Earth's surface and atmosphere, resulting in the presence or expansion of continental and polar ice sheets and alpine glaciers. Earth's climate alternates between ice ages, and greenhouse periods during which there are no glaciers on the planet. Earth is currently in the ice age called Quaternary glaciation. Individual pulses of cold climate within an ice age are termed glacial periods, and intermittent warm periods within an ice age to them (primarily from the northwest of the continent). S. populator from South America was Was Becuase the Dinosaur's Have All along Vanished was among the largest known felids. The pace of discovery is staggering, and during this golden age of paleontology, scientists are transforming our understanding of the prehistoric For many, picturing the mesozoic era conjures up images of steamy jungles, smoking volcanoes and tropical islands. The most popular media about the era, or fauna native to it, strongly adheres to this public perception, so it’s only understandable that this misconception persists. For the most part, it isn’t even that inaccurate, much of the Mesozoic was accompanied by a rise in sea levels and temperature, creating “greenhouse” conditions. But the mesozoic era was a 186 When you're standing on the outdoor platform of our Polar Rover, the chill Arctic air feels invigorating. On this page you’ll find a list of some of the best-known dinosaurs of the Cretaceous Period, together with pictures and facts on each dinosaur In addition to famous dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus and Iguanodon, this list contains many less familiar species, including sauropods with huge spikes on their backs, tank-like plant-eaters armed with tail clubs, and winged gliding dinosaurs reproductive tracts, their cellular structure, their social displays, and even how some nested in polar regions. people are followers , one guy says one stupid thing and everybody just repeats it like parrots , the dinosaurs didn't die out because of the meteorite , every living thing on earth had 4 billion years to evoluate and morph into something else , we still have turtles ,... crocodiles ,.. and Cassowary ( murder birds ) we have eagles and countless breeds of birds if the dinosaurs would have died out , we wouldn't have any animals on the planet , and , the Yellowstone Caldera would have done far more damage than a meteorite , the Yellowstone Caldera is almost 1/4 of the size of the USA I wish people would take their head out of their ass and do some research
