גברת דתייה רבנית , תתביישי, את אמורה לקרוא את פסיקת בג"ץ פלורסהיים, פסיקת בית משפט עליון למען שלום הילד משנת 1968, את פוחדת לחשוף פסיקות שהינם מגמדות החלטות של בית הדין הרבני. איש באמונתו יחייה. סמכות רפואית את לא, לא היית וגם לא תהיי בעולם החשוך שלא יודע דבר על היבטי החוק, נותן חסות לעבריינים בבתי הדין הרבניים, אך כאמור פסיקת העליון היא הקובעת על אפך ועל חמתך. החלטות של בית הדין הרבני.

That is a very beautiful story about the lubavitcher rebbe ztl noticing his personal situation. Unfortunately, as a former talmid of this guy I can attest that it is a lesson he never internalized. He draws students with the allure of something deep but makes sure to keep them at a distance unless you are one of his chosen ones. The man is a fraud. When I was in Kerem b'Yavne I suffered through a depression that ultimately became a catalyst for my leaving in the middle of shana bet. Forget noticing if someone is not eating, this guy never noticed my depression and not once in a whole year gave me a kind word. I can testify that even a little bit of acknowledgement and encouragement from this cold hearted bastard would have helped me a lot. Just to be made to know that I was worth something from him, that I too could achieve would have done wonders for me. Instead, his coldness contributed to my depression. ( actual personal hadracha מאן שכר שמיה , that seems like some fantasy from a dream world) I will never forget how when I told him I was leaving in the middle of the zman he had the gall to call me an ingrate and heavy handedly told me off. Really sweet guy. Never gave a damn to ask why or be curious as too why I was leaving. Just straight away told me off and called me a name. זו תורה וזו שכרה? I can't take away this guy's being able to analyze a sugya and say good pshat. I benefitted from him that way just from hearing shiur and for that I am thankful. So the man was blessed with a good head and puts his whole being into his learning and one can take just that from him and I did. But as a rebbe he was a collosal failure. But hey, he has succeeded in presenting himself as a cool guy with all the answers and maybe that has drawn the right people to the ribbono shel olam so it's all good, right?

Shlomo, I certainly wouldn't claim to know anything about your specific situation and relationship with Rav Blachman, but I feel a responsibility to respond. A man with literally hundreds of students is going to have some students with whom he doesn't get along or see eye-to-eye, and I'm sure Rav B himself would be the first to admit that. I'm not sure if you made it through the whole video, but i think you ignored the part where Rav B said that no one, not even the greatest Rabbi or teacher, is perfect. As sad as it is that Rav Blachman was not able to provide you what you needed in the proper time, I think that the hundreds of people who Rav B has had a definite positive life-changing influence on are enough evidence that though Rav B may not be perfect, as no teacher is, the good he has done far outweighs the bad. And that's not only because those students are able to analyze sugyos and say good pshatim; it's because Rav B so often achieved his real goal of guiding students towards real, internal worship of God. It's unfortunate that you felt only cold-hearted-bastardliness from Rav B during your KBY career, and only God knows how much Rav B us to blame for that. I think that any experienced and wise Rav B talmid has figured out that in order to forge a real relationship with him, a student needs to reach out themselves somewhat. I personally, and many other people I know personally, can attest to that. That might not be the level of the Lubavitcher Rebbe whom Rav B idolized, but it was more than good enough for me and for countless others. So although Rav B may have been a colossal failure as a Rebbe for you, he was a towering success for hundreds of students, and this video is a great selection of some of the core teachings that he has injected into those successes.
