I Think we should go back to the original structural systems and incorporate the current system. Excellent valued video. I Like the history tour.❤😊🇯🇲🇬🇭

The tour guide lied, those symbols are not Ashanti symbols specifically, they are AKAN SYMBOLS. The ASHANTI people are part of the larger AKAN TRIBE....All the references he is specifically making to the Ashanti tribe is not true, it is actually AKAN instead of ASHANTI. All the AKAN people exhibit the same caultural attitudes, LANGUAGES(TWI, FANTE), DANCES, CLOTHING, SYMBOLS etc..............
@Audivibes65Күн бұрын
Wow! Thank you so much for the information. I will definitely look into it. At the end of the day, whether AKAN or ASHANTI , we, as a people of color, have been mentally enslaved and colonized. Because of our history, we strive to hold on to what we consider and believe is ours. We learn to fight against each other.....insomuch we forgot who is our true slave master and enemy. For me, my history is hard, my ancestors were removed from the Motherland Africa, taken as slaves, and henceforth, we lost our identity, language and culture. I pray that we all unite, ASHANTI, AKAN, and all tribes, tongues, people, colors as one. That we unite to make this world a better place for the generations ahead of us. In the song of the greatest reggae artist (Bob Marley) One love, one heart, let's get together ❤️ ....

@@Audivibes65 We are all the same people. The MAROONS of JAMAICA and SURINAM originated from a town going to Cape Coast called KROMANTSI/ABANDZE where there is a FORT called FORT ARMSTERDAM. TAKY who started the TAKY REBELLION in JAMAICA in 1760 also was a chief in a town near ELMINA called KOMENDA when he was captured and shipped to Jamaica as a slave. Some history for you

The tourists guide himself needs some more education. He wasn’t very accurate on issues. More or less misinforming the tourists. You see how, also, he kept close proximity to and focused his attention on the Caucasian , essentially treating our sister from Canada as though yes she didn’t need much attention or explanation just as our sister the Caucasian. This is symptomatic of a colonised mind. He doesn’t really hold in high esteem the person that looks exactly like him. (INFERIORITY COMPLEX) He will rather grovel at the Obroni as if he need her tacit sympathy or commendation for what he was saying. We have freedom but most of my compatriots are still struggling with the mental vestiges of colonial rule. As for the Nigerian who kept shouting, I thought he had a mental health issue 😂.

@ChristopherOwusuAtiemo awwe, Christopher, I got you! But, there are so many variables. I believe that your eyes for detail is intriguing, especially the way you analyze the situation. However, rest assured, this may not be his thinking. In other words...he may just be doing so out of respect because of her complexion. I on the other hand know myself, my qualities, my beauty, and a plethora of wonderful things that are me. I thank you for all you said, and I want you to know I am a proud, strong and happy woman 'of color'. We as a people should not be caught up in looking for negative things in each other, but help each other up to our rightful place in the world. You have great knowledge Christopher. I appreciate your stance and historical input. Knowledge is power over speculations. Blessings always ❤️

By the way let’s clarify one thing, the symbols you saw are called Adinkra symbols. THEY DID NOT ORIGINATE FROM THE ASANTE KINGDOM. They were founded by a Paramount Chief called Nana Kwame Adinkra of Gyaeman kingdom. It erroneous and a twist of history to annex those symbols to Asante.
@Audivibes65Күн бұрын
@ChristopherOwusuAtiemo hello, thanks for sharing. I did mention to another beautiful person that at the end of the day, whether ASHANTI, AKAN, Nana Kwame Adinkra, and all the amazing trailblazers that forged the way for us, let us not get caught up in our pursuit to claims, but let's come together as one voice, one Nation. Remember what caused the separation in the first place? Colonization, slavery, segregation, discrimination and lots more. We shouldn't argue amongst ourselves. I noted so far, each person gives a different, yet unique perspective on what the tour guide has to say, so what can I truly know is facts? One thing I can truly say is...my ancestors were taken from Africa, enslaved and experienced atrocities that's inhumane, yet we are here. So, thanks to all our ancestors who fought, thanks to Kwame Adinkra, thanks to all, we're STILL HERE! Love every information and perspective, now, let's come together nuh? We've experienced enough already. Love ❤️

Asantehene Opoku Ware 1st acquired it when he defeated and beheaded Adinkra. Asantes have added a lot more symbols to it than they acquired from Adinkra. Tell that to the World too, Bono man

The tree represents what everyone is trying to do in life that is to get to the top while others try to to help others try to bring you down.
@Audivibes65Күн бұрын
@@lifewithzyair5286 you're so correct! Your analogy is true and painful, because it holds truth that cannot be denied. I guess you and I will help others to go up, and in-turn we will definitely find someone to push us up..so, once we get to the top, it's you and I, and others that will reach down, and pull the others up. Let's all help each other up, and tear down no one. ❣️
