Please don't block up that beautiful view and daylight with blinds. Curtains to the floor, same in living room - some fabrics have two different patterns that compliment one another, often the kitchen/dining fabric is done with a slightly quirky, fun pattern and living room matching pattern is slightly more elegant.

I recently has the plantation shutters installed. So nice and would look great with your new decor.

I would do nothing, live in it for awhile and see what you would like. The light is so nice in there, I would wait.

Any blinds are hard to clean and they're bad for allergies. Sheer curtains just drawn to the side showing the whole window during the day would be awesome mine are all washable I just pop them in the wash

I would love to look out at a beautiful view while I’m cooking and eating. I would put curtains on each side that you can pull closed at night or whenever you want more privacy. You have great views in the back and the front of your house.

Would be nice if you had window panes that you could see out but others can't see in. That window is gorgeous and doesn't need to be covered...IMO...

Definitely not blinds on those beautiful windows! Your view is amazing. Some sheer panels or light airy curtains that are washable. The large windows let in beautiful light. Blinds are so hard to clean and its very hard to clean the windows and tracks once installed.! I got rid of mine.

Something very contagious is going around. I never get sick but yet here I am sick. It just won't go away. Went to Patient First for another medical problem, came home and about 2 days later, I was very sick. Coughing, sore throat, feverish. It's been over a week now.

We have wooden plantation blinds with the wide slats, there's a handle type in the middle to push up or down to open & close.

On the big window I would not cover them up with curtains, plantation shutters are really nice, they close and also swing out check them out

I would go with three retractable window shades. I know you said you didn't like fabric, but you could easily pull the fabric shades up (as they are lighter) allowing you to open the side windows to allow the natural light in when y'all are home. You could also go with three individual wooden blinds that could be wiped down....but I would not go for a long single piece for those beautiful windows. Edited to add: I also would NEVER take out that dinning room window. It's gorgeous! You already have a back door therefor you don't need french doors or a sliding glass door.

JEREMY i joined and started watching channel since Day 1. Have them male a decorative wooden valamce for window and not use cloth curtians. Love your new You Tube Channel..
@Susan-n3o3e2 күн бұрын
On the blinds on those big windows or any window? You just need one blind on the outer side, not the inner side of the window it looks much nicer when it’s just one piece but that’s just my opinion
@tinaaurand88872 күн бұрын
I have blinds at all my windows and hate them. They are hard to clean. You can take down and wash a curtain. The dining room window is my dream window.

Let whichever company you use to install them do the measuring.
@pandagirl9096Күн бұрын
Just had new shades installed and it was better to have them come in to measure. They give you options as well- one shade or individual. Also shades come with a valance so no need for curtains

Looking good! Personally I am not sure if I would do anything for window treatment for that big kitchen window. Its a pretty window and frames a really nice view of the back yard. If anything maybe just some simple sheer panels. Its the back of the house, so it is private out there no passing cars or people !

I live in Florida and have blinds with curtains in all our rooms. After blinds were installed they looked nice, but the rooms looked stark and bare. Adding curtains really added some color and warmth to the rooms. I purchased curtains that are washable and have had no problems with them retaining odors.

Window blinds will be perfect....maybe think about the fake wood looking blinds otherwise the white blinds. Wow....love the mantel drawer. You have a lot of stuff to go through....I'm a person that thinks less is more. In other words i want to donate or throw away as much as possible because as the years go by there is always more that gets accumulated. Thank you for sharing.

I think the wooden blinds would be nice, if you can get them right. I used to clean houses for a living, and I always hated cleaning them, but they really do look nice. They make custom blinds, for different types of windows.

Those windows are beautiful. I can see how it'd be hard to install the wood slat binds, they are clunky and big, thick to mount. Maybe some thin roller style blinds?? Ps.caught a glimpse of kitchen cabinets, beautiful paint color!❤

I guess you all really just don't want to make it a door like French doors that could one day open up to a deck or patio ...you have so much room there one day a pool might be nice they make pools souch easier to care for these days❣️
