Everyone who pulls on their face with that maneuver at around 1:00 feels as though they can breathe better, it does not mean you have valve collapse. There is a whole nasal strip industry aimed at doing the same thing and these nasal strips can be beneficial to everyone.

That’s a very good question Actually… I’m curious too. I had osteotomy’s done, but now the bones are crooked & denting into my airway and causing it to collapse. I think osteotomy used to straighten your bones, reduce them, or remove pieces of it from your airway wouldn’t harm or make it worse. It could possibly help, but I don’t know.

@@LexaTerrestrialx Wengen titan implantat was invented by a swiss guy called "wengen". Its a "M" shaped little piece of metal called titan that they will put on your top of your nose in a surgery. You can also search in youtube for it. Titanic news is tragic but Iam worried more about my health then I can consider paying attention to the news. The Wengen implantat helps keeping the inside nose entry open but in my case the nose walls (the sides of the nose) are collapsing and the nose entry inside close too. With the breathe right strips I can breathe good so the nasal valve collapse surgery will adapt this function. Prior the wengen implantat surgery i had mainly the nasal septum surgery which caused this all. This was 10 years ago. I can recommend you a Doktor in germany for this issue if you like. The others doctors tell me she is perfect.

I have the most difficult time breathing. My nose DOES collapse when breathing in through my nose. And the upper area looks like it has smile lines in it, moreso as I age. I present a question to you Sir. I had internal nasal valve repair done along with septorhinoplasty and turbinates reductions. I now have two deep creases which are a purplish red nearly a month and a half later. I am now left with what I’m extremely concerned with which is two external creases on the right side of my nose that are about 1/4” apart and 3/8” long. I know my body’s healing ability and to me this isn’t normal and has barely healed at all. My otolaryngologist wasn’t the least concerned and scheduled my next post op appt for 3 months away. I feel that the damage will leave me scarred for life. Is this going to heal, should I be concerned and see a dermatologist??? Thank you for your time Sir. I will only add this; the breathing on what used to be my good side has now decreased by 30 percent and the turbinate on that side was ignored and not reduced, which will now require a second procedure and expense on my behalf, even though the septum was placed closer to that turbinate. My collumella is now crooked and I can not express how disappointed I am in that because it was originally straight. All in all I wish I would have never had this surgery done. I’m now left with the exact problem I originally went in to have resolved and potential scarring for the rest of my life.

sounds like what happened to me & many other patients would got this procedure. the ENT shows lack of concern or covers it up. Hopefully you did or are not going to develop empty Nose Syndrome. Reducing the turbinates seem to cause nasal valve collapse. As far as the healing & skin goes - my best advice in healing that is to look into Red Light Therapy. You can buy a cheap device & use it at home. It heals skin, tissue especially post surgical. About a year after I had this procedure there were Sm different issues including a giant scar tissue band that was pulling on my septum. IF this doctor doesn't want to look at it, fvck him go to another one. Idk where you iive but the doctor that saved my life was Dr. Das in Ohio. He does PRP & Nasal Stem Cell treatments but aside from that his expertise on the structure & functionality of the nose & rare cases is above all others. Idk if you experience any other symptoms but def. see an ENT & if they're all clueless hit up Dr. Das. And do look into a Red Light machine. I started using one a little over a year after my surgery .... I was a completely healthy girl before. Medical Malpractice is Sadly extremely common. Do not worry though - there is help out there

@nycfacedoc 2 жыл бұрын
A deviated septum can certainly make the nose deviated. However, a septoplasy alone, likely will not make the nose entirely straight on its own. Commonly, people require an "open septo-rhinoplasty" approach in order to fully correct a crooked nose. I advise you discuss your particular needs with your surgeon, and understand the likely goals and outcomes.

Return to exercise and weight lifting will vary depending on the extent of surgery performed. For complex caudal septal deviations, requiring rib grafting or extracorporeal/anterior septal reconstruction, the minimum recommended time off is 3 weeks from exercise. At 3-6 weeks, I advocate for low to no impact activity, such as an elliptical, stationary bike, or rowing machine. Light weights can be considered during this time. At 6 weeks, normal activity can resume.

Persistent breathing problems after a septoplasty may be related to a number of issues. Common causes include re-deviation of the septum, medical related causes to nasal airway obstruction (e.g. allergies), scar tissue, sinus related problems, or other causes to nasal airway obstruction. It is important to speak with your surgeon and be thoroughly re-evaluated.
