Tire looks new. Looks like the trailer hit something which bent the axle and knocked the wheel off. Can even see in the side of the trailer where it bent the wall. I don't think this was an axle failure I think it was impact damage. Also why the double skid mark from a single tire? That's odd. Would love to hear from the driver what happened.

They wont pull it. At most weld a piece of medal to it and charge the last company or person who rented it. Alls they’ll do is go back to the last person who serviced it give them a stern talking to and go about their day.

I think he's positing that the steel plate gauge is so thin that it should not be rated at the 7,000 pound capacity of the hitch, even in the best of circumstances when the eyelet is not torn or rusty. Frankly, on this one I agree with him. Were I pulling my 6x12 enclosed Haulmark, laden with 1200 pounds of cargo for a gross weight of 2800 pounds, maybe. 7,000 pound of active load on that little tab? Incidentally, this is a re-post- I made a mildly critical remark on a point of assertion on an earlier video, and I am now apparently blocked, so this is on my other account. Thin skin, as thin as the mils steel of this dinky plate!

The real crime here is that Virginia makes you get your trailer inspected. Never heard of that but I live in a much better state a little south.

You just have a problem with any trailer you see don’t you? People have safety chains and you still bitch, people couple the trailer right and you assume they must have the wrong ball size. If you can’t see the boom you shouldn’t be on the road. But that is actually a tool not a trailer and skirts it’s way under a lot of regulations. Bet you didn’t know that though. The lights are on it purely for your convenience they really don’t even need to have lights. At least in Ohio.

next time try flagging them down. he probably doesn't even notice because you can't see those things behind your truck and those straps are toast. can't even use em to haul a car now. but you would rather film his mistake and call him out online making people believe he's intentionally trying to burn down a state that he's 2000 miles away from.

just because someone doesn't have plates doesn't mean the trailers stolen. especially on dump trailers. its all too easy to rip the plates off of them things when backing up to a pile to dump

Why would they put a break away cable on a trailer with no brakes? Also there is nothing wrong with the suspension. They are designed to look like that to disperse the weight evenly between the axles. If your gonna go around and act like a Karen at least educate yourself.

Do you know how trailers fall off? It takes more than a hump and a bump. Especially on those designs. You should be more worried about the crappy thin box tubes that the manufacturers build those trailers with. Guaranteed the axles would fall off of that thing due to rust and fatigue before the hitch bounces off the truck. Heck with the right amount of weight in the front of it you honestly don’t even need to latch the damn thing and it’ll still stay on the truck. Also that toe out condition is probably caused by turning it. If you look the tire on the same axle is toe in.

When it's unloaded it doesn't need the breakaway cable, it doesn't weigh nearly as much. Also the fenders more prevent stuff from getting on the trailer than throwing a rock at your windshield. Crossing the chains is somewhat important, but if the coupler is making a good connection, it shouldn't matter

If that car hit the truck at a sufficient speed without the hitch installed, the nose of the car could have run under the bed, and the bed plus bumper could end up smashing through the car's windshield. The hitch ensured contact at al lower point, thus protecting the driver. Plus it saved the truck from costly damage from being rear-ended.

One of these days this guy is going to show the plate of the wrong truck and get taken to court. KZbin needs to take this channel down, he’s showing plates & other personally identifiable information on private property. If I saw this guy lurking around vehicles like that I’d 100% call the cops and have him escorted off the property. This has to be Northern VA, try that around here and you’d be arrested for trespassing.

@@DangerousTrailers-xf8we parking lot = private property. A business owner in Virginia has the right to ask you to leave and if you don’t comply you can be arrested for trespassing. You’ve been lucky - try that stunt on some business premises = trespassing charge & restraining order. Simple / A parking lot is NOT public property. It is owned & maintained by the business- that’s why law enforcement won’t do an accident report for a parking lot fender bender - not a public road

Normally I disagree with this guy but you do need some wood or something on the sides to keep those rocks in there and can probably throw a sheet of plywood on top of the branches and ratchet strap it down because branches do like to bounce
