Honestly, momos reaction to findings okarun like that is showing that Even if she doesnt admit, she likes him as more than a friend. And as she is an honest person, she also doesnt have a "niceness" filtre to what she means. I have had experiences like that

As for the boxer, in the manga he was singing ABBA's song "Chiquitita", but you know how it is with copyright - that or he forgot the lyrics. And melody.

Dang I wouldn’t have known that anyway I don’t listen to ABBA😂

@@HeadEmptyTV Listen, if you gotta listen to one song, at least get "Dancing Queen" in your ears someday. Not like I know a lot of ABBA, myself, but that's just an essential in anyone's music knowledgebase. Just mentioning it got the song stuck in my head.

I can see the connection, at least on the immediate surface, to Sonny Boy. I'm a huge fan of, for the lack of a better word, "weird shit" in stories, the unusual, the anomalous, blah blah. Absolutely different feelings between Dandadan and Sonny Boy, but that air of "what the hell is going on" is a huge draw. I'm pretty late to the anime fandom, age-wise, but that desire for that kinda weird ain't lacking in anime. I think Western media is just recently opening up to weirdness in the mainstream. I actually think a good analog to Dandadan for a Western TV show would be Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (totally different than the book, but it absolutely works for what it is). Only got 2 seasons, but it has that same bonkers feel to the whole thing. It's late, I type too much when tired, I'ma shut up before this becomes a damn thesis. You just wanted to know if someone saw Sonny Boy, dammit, why I gotta do this.

Aira's such a dunce and jumps to the most absurd conclusions, and it's absolutely hilarious 😂😂 in her mind, she's the protagonist of a completely different, shoujo romance magical girl anime, compared to the story everyone else knows they're in, lmao. I love her 😂😂😂 I was laughing my ass off this entire episode despite already reading the manga.

It wasn't just because of Victor's death that Warwick became this way. Killing Victor might have made Vander weaker but the Lava and this intense of a rage was instigated because Singed put the serum he was talking about in him. You can see Singed standing inside the greenhouse when everything is going down. He injected Warwick with the serum he was supposed to.
@HeadEmptyTV4 күн бұрын
Ahh that makes more sense. I didn’t understand the lava and with everything happening I forgot he was in there lol
@Kyoril3 күн бұрын
I do not think that was lava. I believe that was his blood. Mixed with whatever chemicals Singe pumped into him. He was bleeding out his eyes. Like he was pumped up with a massive overdose of adrenaline
@samiam58593 күн бұрын
@@Kyoril I think it was the hextech metal that Victor adds to every being to cure them plus the serum Singed gave which ultimately formed Lava. I'm saying Lava because it is a burning substance of orange colour which I think came from melting of whatever metallic things were there inside Vander because of the way Victor was healing him (since the magic Victor has uses metal) and an acidic serum Singed gave him. It's like Singed said, "The apex form of Shimmer combined with the apex form of Hextech".

You bring up a good point. I wonder if Heimerdinger has also touched the arcane and perhaps thats why he new Viktor was 'infected' by the Arcane like Viktor saw in Jayce.
@HeadEmptyTV6 күн бұрын
Could be. One thing I noticed out of act 1 is how everyone seemed to be drawn to it. I think Mel, Jayce, and Heimerdinger all reached out to touch it directly the moment they saw it like they were possessed or something. Just a weird pattern I noticed

I was also somewhat jarred by TB's attitude when I watched this. My only explanation is she's really good at the tsundere act, which includes pretending to not care/be affected. I've seen in a different reaction video's comment section she may have also seen this type of scene play out so much in the tunnels and maybe elsewhere where she saw girls helplessly die that she just got used to not being able to help people survive, hence how nonchalant she is. She does make an attempt to call the ambulance, and we can see last ep even though she's basically a powerless doll who can only passively control luck she still cared about Momo and Okarun as she tried to confront Acro Silky.

Crazy how the mangaka utilized an irl creepypasta in Japan , Acro Silky, into the story since the irl creepypasta lore reports people seeing a woman jump off buildings who look like her. "Sara Sara"

Yeah others have said it, but dandadan is surprisingly deep. It's like a moving, living thing. The entire story is excellent with character design and development. It mixes in real life Yokai lore and Japanese mythology/urban legends and gives them character, backstory and life. Akuserasera is a Japanese ghost rumored to wear red with long black silky hair, who falls off of buildings and dances around. It is said if you see her, you will experience tragedy. The mangaka took that urban legend and expanded upon it. And the anime just adapted it perfectly. Aira happened to be able to see spirits. Japanese believe that young children are especially sensitive to the paranormal, and as they grow they lose the ability. Okaruns Ball made Aira awaken her dormant power. Excellent direction. Excellent animation, musical score, voice acting....everything is perfect. I've never been so enraptured by an anime episode. And the sad thing is....Aira's story isn't even the saddest one. There is more pain to come. And as we saw this backstory, we can confidently await the next sob-fest to exceed expectations. God damn, Science Saru. I am obsessed ❤ Good reaction, thoughtful analysis. I just know the series will grow and become even better. Be prepared !

NAHHH!!! Young children sensitive to paranormal? bruh… I think i can believe that,because when i was young and it was the middle of the night,i suddenly woke up (this was when i was 4-6 yrs old,i forgot,bc it was so vivid now) but i thought i saw a kid,at the window,a black sillouette,and big wide eyes,staring at me,and btw,it wasn’t even far,like it was infront of me,because i was looking outside the window,i experienced alot of these things before but i forgot,my siblings had some of they’re own experience aswell But if it is true tho,then that would explain why kids say to they’re parents “Mom,theres a monster under the bed” Ts gave me goosebumps

My opinion on turbo granny is that she has a personal trauma with SA so she consoles spirits who met a similar fate and preys on mens weenies in particular for that reason, but she is still herself an evil vindictive spirit and doesn’t really care about other people beyond that. Basically she went out of her way to protect Momo from the aliens, but she had no qualms about terrorizing and killing Momo after that. Also, turbo granny does not get the same backstory beamed into her head like Momo did. Though turbo granny definitely gets more character development as the manga goes on. Also some extra context that was more explicit in the manga: Silky died by suicide, her ballet scene is her final dance on a rain covered rooftop that ends with her leaping off the edge to her death. And it is implied heavily that the daughter died very soon after, as the manga shows them reuniting and walking into the light together, hopefully to a kinder world.

Now you've seen Dandadan at its best in terms of comedy, tragedy, action, and romance. And the story is constantly switching between these four modes with amazing execution. For me, that's what sets it apart from most other stories.

It feels like it’s had every opportunity to follow the same tropes of other big shounen, but it always takes a different course to keep things fresh and engaging. It’s such a surprise gem this season. It also focuses a lot on character work which is easily the biggest weakness of other series in the genre
