*Totally impressive **Fastly.Cool** in my room. Wish I designed this myself. We can’t believe how quiet it is. It’s not as heavy as our last AC unit but it works more evenly and efficiently. Extremely happy with this purchase.*

You would be better wrapping around a tank like they did in there how is works video hybrid water heater Rheem Because if you have a refrigerant leak it can’t get in your water looks like 16 raps with a space then 9 more raps l Looks like a lot of pipe but I’m thinking a old bladder tank 1st remove bladder then weld 3 couplings at top of tank Install pop off safety valve 2nd hole install well for temperature probe 3rd hole is water out On the bottom cover inside the tank install a 4” riser with a 90 on it so it doesn’t point up Seal and install it back on the tank you may need to make a gasket This is water in Then wrap the copper lines around it like Rheem did Then insulate it I’m going to try to make one soon I’ll make a video of it when I do

You could extract heat from anywhere and condense it into a hot water tank. This is stored energy that lasts as long as your insulation is good. Theirs a formula for that =-) Water can absorb tremendous amounts of energy to be used how and when you want.

I think it's hilarious reading these comments. It's horrible! It's amazing! Singing a song like this is such a personal thing. I found it extraordinarily powerful and moving. If it didn't sound right to you, so be it. This woman rips her heart out and hands it to the audience every night. If you don't want it, that's cool. Plenty of people do.

Fine presentation. Am building a place in Indonesia where the equatorial heat simplifies the parameters. For a regular 7,000 Btu heat-pump versus simple A/C unit, here you are talking about $1160 versus $270, so I think there's benefit to DIY. BTW, that heat pump doesn't even come with the storage tank. At first I was thinking of just making an air-to-air heat-exchanger using an old car radiator, but the eventually-hot water passing through is probably not safe for human consumption. My variation on your theme is to use 3 energy transfer mechanisms: 1] solar-driven 12v pump, 2] modular solar hot-water panel(s) (2'x2' unit out of Seattle), & 3] DIY heat-pump. We'll have 7 A/C units (indiv. units much cheaper than combined here ... go figure). One unit will be for cool-room, so will be run 24 hours. Cold water from main tank will pass by heat-exchanger next to A/Cs' exhausts (DIY copper- or aluminum-tubing best option here?), then to relay valved splitter where, if sunny, solar pump pushes through solar hot-water panel, in addition to a temperature-controlled pump sending water to an on-demand/instant gas-powered water-heater (e.g., Rinnai), both feeding to an insulated tank. Ideas? Improvements?

this would be a great option for a fridge also. maybe have an option to connect A/C and freezers together! for more capacity. and maybe a solar heater to go with it. a system that could all work together. use the alliances to preheat before the solar actually heats to a higher temp. as long as it works. it can save lots of power in the home.

Its too bad that you just wasted 98 bucks and a perfectly good ac unit! OK now let's think for a minute....... Go to the salvage yard and get rear ac unit from a custom Chevy van.. Or equivalent substitute. And get hoses with the evaparator. Then plan system and use a 15000 or 10000 btu compressor. Put the condenser outside beneath the rv mount it with a 12volt fan from salvage yard. From a compact car and condenser . pipe it together. A cheap ac I've built one for my van it blows out ice cubes! If you want hot water stack another condenser behind the hot one and use a 12volt pump to circulate water. A more complicated unit would use reversing valves to change direction of refrigerant. Too complicated for beginners on a 98 dollar budget. Just saying for hot water wrap exhaust with copper pipe and pump it a round!
