1. There’s no denying Josh has been a better individual playoff performer than Lamar 2. Even if they had the exact same playoff stats it’s the difference between a guys 1st MVP and 3rd, if Lamar wins a 3rd MVP he will tie Tom Brady. I wouldn’t be shocked if the voters give it to Josh for historical purposes. I do want to add I’m not mad either way here, if I had a vote I’d lean Josh because his team will likely have the better record and the stats are close enough in my eyes, but wouldn’t be mad if it went to Lamar

He's statistically THE best QB in the NFL in the playoffs. You might say that doesn't matter if he doesn't have a ring, but he's been in two VERY tight playoff games vs the Chiefs that came down to poor coaching decisions on Buffalo's side/unlucky breaks. Even though they haven't made it all the way, Josh has proven he's capable of playing better than anyone in the playoffs and going toe to toe with the eventual SB winning team, while Lamar hasn't done that. Until Lamar can prove himself in the playoffs (which I think he eventually will), most people are going to have more confidence in Josh Allen's ability to get to/win a Superbowl. Because he has EARNED that confidence. Maybe this should have no bearing on who gets the MVP, but when it's neck and neck like it is right now, this may influence the voter's decision. Also, if Lamar wins another MVP, especially in back to back years, the pressure on him to succeed in the playoffs is going to be IMMENSE. If he then goes on to achieve anything short of at least making it to the Superbowl, I can't even begin to imagine the criticism he'll face. The criticism last year was already so intense, and it would likely be far worse this time around. I'm not saying that's how it should be, but that's likely how it would play out. I'm not sure that pressure would be worth it to Lamar when what he REALLY wants is a ring.

For sure, but typically voters like to see some playoff success before continuing to give MVPs to someone no matter the sport As well Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are close, tie might go to the guy who hasn’t won one and whose team will have a better record

I completely disagree here, the offense has scored over 20 in 5 straight games now and is 4-1 in that span McCarthy is working with a back up QB, a RB room that is just Dowdle, a WR room with a injured Lamb + Tolbert now, Ferguson is banged up and an o-line that is middle of the pack Even last night though on script in the first half the Cowboys put up 20, it was in the 2nd half when Lamb had to sit more and the team was off script the talent wasn’t enough to score
