A lot of it is definitely my novice recording skills haha. It’s a Scarlett microphone that comes with the Scarlett interface. But it’s rather low to the drums/cymbals. Thanks for listening!!

This is actually just the classic Miles Davis Oleo recording. I basically just played over it and in the final stages of editing I brought up MY drums to sound louder than the recordings drums. Hope this helps!

@@haydenfloro5561 nice! I always have trouble finding HQ authentic sounding jazz backing tracks. Im a drummer. I get nauseous at the idea of practicing to anything not on click or sequences. Most everyone recommends practicing to the original songs but i hate feeling out of time. Good work and if you know of any HQ jazz backing Tracks lmk please thanks much, i enjoyed the video 🥰

Art Taylor, was the original drummer. I bought this album ( Giant Steps ) From Hime and Addison ( Record shop) in Braznone Street, Manchester, England, U.K. in 1960. I believe I had the only copy in Manchester, at that time. ( I was 20 years of age ) Sorry for being boringly nostalgic. Anyway, Peace to all.

I cant keep up with this. Is that Moeller ride? Three notes with one stroke? Or is it more eighth notes from the shoulder with the the note in between? Or both? Or is it a rebound moeller type stroke for you at that tempo? Or a moeller stroke throwing down on 1&2&3&4&? And squeezing that 3red note in between?
