It's always interesting to see how well a truck handles the transitions on the trail, and this VRD is very well laid out from Vanquish. They have their suspension geo pretty well nailed down in their product line.

How do these stack up against other tires you've tried?
@MojaveValleyRCA9 ай бұрын
Upper middle of the pack. We are working on a ranking system to answer just that, and I think it will help compare and contrast all the different tires we've tested to date. I like the Tusks a lot for our terrain, and of course the Ruptures are pretty much a comp tire.
@Ferra39049 ай бұрын
Just ordered these tires. Im in Pennsylvania so we dont have awesome rocks like that. Cant wait to see how these stack up against my old tried and true rc4wd 2.2 mud slingers. They climb damn near anything and are just a tad taller at 4.88. Subscribed!
@MojaveValleyRCA9 ай бұрын
Greetings, I like these a lot and I think they would also do well on a number of different terrain types. I'm somewhat surprised as to how well they performed on our big rock. It's a good tire.

@MojaveValleyRCA9 ай бұрын
Greetings, I'm running the standard setup. They announced the stubby kit a week after I received my VRD, so I was a bit frustrated with that. Under the hood is a Fusion Pro 2300, and I actually like it quite a bit. The body is an Element Zuul body.

What are your thoughts on this tire compared to the stock ones?
@MojaveValleyRCA Жыл бұрын
Far superior in handling, especially on tighter tracks. Factory dBoots have a taller side lug, and this results in traction roll at speed. The Landmines have shorter lugs and a more curved crown, allowing for a faster corner with less traction roll. I'm able to run faster laps around the track.
@Youworstnightmare77 Жыл бұрын
@@MojaveValleyRCA the rc method tires are much better .All trucks with height and stock tires. they tend to flip. when you do a turn at high speed. there is nothing special about jconcepts rims. i want to see a video of these tires and running the mojave fast and do a close lap without braking at all and see if you have better stability without flipping on these tires.🤷🏻
@MojaveValleyRCA Жыл бұрын
@@Youworstnightmare77 Greetings, we will get some video up later this summer. Other projects underway at the moment. That said, the Methods are by far the easiest tire to drive, but also the slowest on lap times. Most likely there is a significant difference in our truck setups. I have no issues with traction rolling with the JC's on short grass or dirt. What the Methods offer in drivability ( meaning forgiving for poor lines or excessive speed in corners ) they give up in acceleration and braking traction. JC tires are modeled after racing tires, such as you would find on a 1/8 buggy or SCT. Methods are basher tires, modeled after that kind of driving ( all surfaces, crazy speed, ect ). If I want to go fast and carve around the track, Methods are my last choice. If I want to bash and get wild wherever, Methods are my first choice.
