Man I miss having a family full of people with boats. Fishing, skiing, kneeboarding, wakeboarding, tubing. I'm super jealous. You guys look like you had a great time. 🎉🥳 Lake Powell, and Lake Mead were our usual spots. We used to go to either of them about 6 times a year each.

This particular part of the Gulf of Mexico is incredibly shallow for up to 20 miles out ,even then it’s still only 80 feet deep. This whale knew it was sick and just tried to protect itself and passed peacefully without being eaten by sharks

I think people forget this behavior is natural for whales....people need to do research before "omg why don't they save it"

So sad! Looks like it was just too exhausted to move after the tide was high enough to push back to sea. Also, so sad that even if people wanted to help, the whale would be too big and heavy for any reasonable amount of people to get into that rough water and help it. Consolation is that a lot of animals will be fed with its carcass.

They are but if they are injured or sick then sometimes they don't have the strength to swim against the flow of currents and tides. On top of that humans are supposed to be super intelligent as well however most are definitely not.

we are also supposed to be very intelligent but can die and get trapped in very silly and stupid ways. btw the whale got stuck because when tide was high it had ample space to move or look for food and the tide moved back faster than it could move against the waves. Could have been old or injured thats why it perished probably I feel like it would have survived another day if it was healthy bless him
