Yep! Just go to CPT settings, click packages, edit the package you want to add the one time fee to, set the price, set the lifetime, but turn off the "is recurring?" option

I'm wondering about long term registrations. On Porkbun there is the 10 YEAR OPTION! I could choose it now; pay the fees; expect to be clear of the renewal issue for the next decade ... however, what happens if Porkbun goes belly-up in say 5 years? Anyone have a guess what happens to "paid up" domain registrations in such a scenario?

ICANN accredited domain name registrar, so it's as safe as any other registrar. I can't say exactly what would happen in that situation, but I would assume it would be something similar to when Google Domains closed. Everyone got moved to another registrar. This article may be helpful for you: www.buycompanyname.com/registrar-out-of-business/ Porkbun has been around since 2014 though, and has been growing in popularity, so I feel comfortable with my domain names there.

I was setting up GetPaid today and was a little excited when I saw your face in their documentation. I shouldn't have been, though, since you and one other channel have been my go to whenever I need to figure out anything with getting my GeoDirectory website up and running. Your instruction has been much better than the documentation offered by the plugins😉

I am new to using WordPress, so this may be a silly question. I don't know how the different plugins interact when they are plugged in. In the video you said you don't link Ninja forms - which is what geodirectory suggests, so I assume you have another form plugin. Did it automatically work together or did you have to do additional configuration to connect them?

Not a silly question! That's right. Lots of time plugins will recommended companion plugins they work well with automatically (like GeoDirectory and Ninja Forms), but if you wanted to use a different one you still could, but it would need extra configuration

Hi Samantha! You would need to buy your domain name somewhere else, a domain registrar, and then point the settings to Cloudways. This video will show you how to point the settings. If i choose not to extend the membership, Will i be able to add more listings after that? Incase one day the site needs an urgent update, can i take the membership then and update the plugins/theme? Hi, thanks! I'm glad you like my videos ☺ After your GeoDirectory membership is up, you won't be able to update your plugins anymore. It probably won't stop working right away, and you should still be able to add more listings, but eventually you'll probably lose features, and possibly have security issues. Like most premium plugins, you should be able to update again when you restart your membership later, but I don't recommend that, because fixing issues later often ends up being more expensive than just keeping things updated and secure the whole time.

I got majorly hosed in June. Four of six domains on my single plan came up with "A critical error . . . " and only two were possible for myself or the hosting service to rectify to something like it was before. So this video reinforces for me that sites need a constant commitment to tend to them, even if no one asks me to update their content for months and months. The attitude of "don't fix it if it's not broken" clearly doesn't apply to websites.
